My Pauldron (WIP)

Even though I'm waiting for what I expect to be an aswesome pauldron from Mike I really wanted to have one for this weekend. 

 

So here's my attempt at making something to tie me over. I still need to do another coat of paint and I'm still working on how to attach it. It's base on a production still and some images from the hot toys figure. I posted some early pics in another thread but I think I'm at a point where I can share a little more.

What material did you use and how does it attach? What is the "feature" on the left side (opposite the red portion)

I used PVC board.

Do you mean the strap? Its what I'm currently thinking of using to attach to the armor. It's going to fold over and attach with either velcro or snaps to the yolk or another strap to which the top of the chest armor attaches - Hope that made sense. Once I get the length down I will cutting down the straps.
