  1. I've heard that the drop boxes are supposed to be energy sinks. If the armor takes a blaster hit, the energy from the blast then is diverted to the boxes to minimize damage to the trooper. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  2. The 501st guidelines falls in line with the way and methods that the original prop builders in the OT actually built the screen used armor. These methods may not be the most "idealized" but nonetheless it's the standard for the legion. On the outside view of the armor there is generally no room for customization. Accuracy to screen appearance is priority. Being that your getting an RS kit, which is formed from an original screen used suit you'll really see how wonky and imperfect it really is in real life(especially the bucket). Initially it bothered me but you'll find its the imperfections that give the original TK it's iconic look and what people remember most about it. I'm not a GML and I would wait for their input, but imo you probably need to stick to the basic guidelines for approval. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  3. Good to know to report to the squad leader if your trooping and your hungry. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  4. Mine is on the way. This thread has got me worried though. For the price everyone is paying for these helmets, these need to be close to flawless. We need to hold ANOVOS accountable for their product like any other manufacturer. When Lucasfilm hands out these licenses I always sense a tremor in the force. It's like they got the contract so they just relax and start taking liberties on quality. Take Rubies costumes as an example. I wouldn't get caught dead in their kits but they have had the license for years. Every kit I have is "fan made" and blow any Rubies, EFX or Don Post off the map in terms of quality, customer support and most importantly accuracy. I hope this is not the case and just a matter of working the kinks out. Time will tell. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  5. Undersuit-walmart under $20 Underbelt( to hold up thigh pieces)-any black belt will do but I use a vinyl web belt, military strapping-$20 E-11 blaster-resin kit or completed one $150-$250 Optional gear: Helmet fan kit-$50 Voicebox/ICOMM system-$150 Storage Bin-$30-$150 Helmet bag-$25-$100 Novus plastic polish kit-$20 Magic eraser sponges (for black scuffs)-$5 There might be more but this is pretty much what I have. 6. I've got RS. I Love it. Make sure if you get a completed set, go to a real tailor to get your measurements to provide RS. Here is me trooping at a local TFA premiere event. I'm in the foreground. My buddy in the rear is in a SDS kit. --------------
  7. That's what I'm hoping. None of the ANH builds I have now are "officially" licensed. So $1800 for the kit and the rumor that a "wear it out of the box" TFA will run you $3000. Wow. At those costs I may stay old school indefinitely. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  8. Looks like you have a CFO ROTJ kit there! Nice. It appears to me that the thighs are still a bit low. The two things I did to improve the appearance and fit in the thighs was to tighten and raise my inner belt that held the upper straps and got a tighter fitting bodysuit. It appears yours may be a little loose. Hope this helps. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  9. I had been over bid in the sale but, shortly after that I received a notification that said the sale had been "cancelled by seller". My guess is somebody received a cease and desist notification from somebody "very powerful". Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  10. $2650 at the moment plus $200 shipping. I had bid at 2600. No more for me though. Thinking if I wait, I eventually could have a complete kit fully built by Anovos for that much. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
  11. Oh, my bad. Sorry. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

  13. Imperial boots site is back up. From what I know from the forums they have great customer service and their boots are eib/centurion approvable. I just ordered a pair, unknown how long the wait will be.<br> www.imperialboots.com
  14. Definitely a good find on ebay! The seller must have either ran into financial problems or got frustrated trying to build the kit. Sskunky is currently building my cfo kit. Unfortunately I can't build my own because i'm a partially disabled vet and unable to do detail work with my hands especially working with sharp things:) I'll have to bow out on your question to the build experts, but wanted to congratulate you on your great find!
