Hi Dimo,

In my honest opinion, your armour needs some tidying up.

It is not of a tidy construction and a few items need correcting.

To start you off, have a look at these areas,

Your right rear shin is closing the wrong way.

Closed seams should face the inside of your legs and not be seen from the outside.

Your boots have additional seams on them that detract away from the originals.

The TD clips are too narrow.

The 6 AB to kidney rivets are much larger in diameter than they should be.

The shoulder straps have been glued down with excess glue showing.

I am sure that some additional comments will come in about the helmet and tube stripes.

Just a few things at a glance, you could either bring your biceps down or your forearms up, there is a bit of a gap there. Now tube stripes, look too large, too few stripes, too far down on your cheeks and the blue in the photos look too dark. TD clips as stated look too narrow and also should be closer to the end caps, also the canister color looks a little weird. Seems on your boots do look a little weird too. Not hard things to fix so shouldn't take too long.

the thighs and shins are already changed and the right rear shin closed to the inside

damned  :6:, old Pictures,  maybe you can see it on the Last pictures of my first troop.

The stripes on the Helmet are handpainted with Humbrol no. 14 french blue

You also appear to have 6 AB panel to kidney plate rivets on both sides of your armour.

They should only be present on your left hand side.

May I also ask, what material you have used as your shim, between your AB and kidney?

for the shim i used some Plastic plates and with the rivets i fixed it.

You say to the rivets:

"They should only be present on your left hand side"

Is this needed to get Centurion Level?

I know i will never get Centurion with this Armor and Helmet :laugh1: . But i already save my money to get a new Armor.

The boots are black jodhpur witch i have painted white.

CLR for 501st approval and Level Two:

Jodhpur/Chelsea-type boots or an equivalent style is acceptable

Only for Level Three they must be changed.

Or am i wrong?

They just look dark in the photo's.

You will still have to do something with your tube stripes they are too large, too few and too far down on your cheeks, there should be a pencil width from the cheek. You can see the differences below.

Ok, thank you.

i will change the stripes,

can tell me what else I need to change.

Some things are not clearly written in the CRL.

if it is too much and too expensive for this Armor than i will waith.

My armor (first :))  was a failed sale, but I try to make the best of it.

Now that you have posted a close up of your lid you could clean up the black lines a little, wouldn't take much and would really make a big difference to the overall look :D

Although I do not like the rivets on your right side beeinig there and on your left side beeing placed in the wrong position, I´m optimistic for your EIB

I know the rivets on the left and right side are not the finest and accurate art, but i needed them to fix the platic plate between the ab and kidney plates to closed the gap.

I tried it with glue but it does not hold because there is too much tension. to open it, one side is fixed with velcro.

I think with this solution, I have met the requirements of the CRL for EIB and they are only a problem for Centurion.

I dunno folks. This is an excellent example of someone with older and out of date armor trying as hard as he can to look his best. There are still nitpicks to address I'm sure, but thank you for leading the way for folks with FX to go EIB.

Aloha,

Thanks for this words Eric,

I have read very often the CRL, but i don´t know what i must change else.

I think i have met all the requirements of the CRL for EIB

Maybe the strapping a little so that the armor fits better but i think that can i better see when i going to trooping events.

Thank you, have seen this now on the pictures. i have fix the belt with 3 snaps on the ab plate so you don´t see it (look at my picture of my first troop)

Only for this Pictures the belt was not fixed and has moved easily upwards.

While there is still room for improvements, as it has already been mentioned, I will go ahead and approve this. But I would recommend spending some time to implement the suggestions.
