DarthChridan's new Doopydoos E-11 fire power

Recommended Posts

Aloha....

dear community ^_^

In the meantime of my hero stormtrooper build I had finished my new E-11 blaster of doopydoos.

The model is an ANH Blaster (ANH B2)

My goal was all the details and parts to assemble and paint as accurate as possible....more is not possible...I think :huh:

Ok...let the whole pics start (attention, there's really a lot of pics.......)!!!

At first the assembling/progress pics--->>

1st part...the power cell modified with real screws and with Andy's central fuses--->>

Next detail, the charging lever--->>

Spring for the charging lever ( I took the spring of a real discarded sterling magazine...it fits really great in the main body of the blaster)--->>

Next step, the lock for the folding stock.....

For this detail I took a little aluminium platelet--->>

Next progress is the front panel for the counter. Unfortunately I got only the metal box without this front panel incl. the metal connections. Well, I've done it myself out of the resin counter of the doopydoos parts.....do it yourself trooper...hahahaha :laugh1:B)

The tricky job was to get the pins ( I got a few real pins of GG member...thanks to Sven) through the resin part....but I did it, without cracks. The stuff of doopydoos is really awesome :jc_doublethumbup:

Ok...here it is--->>

...and here the complete counter added to the blaster--->>

Now the finished and painted details of the blaster. For the weathering I took a coarse brush, silver and gun metal for the paints. The black paint was simple black matt.

Thanks for watching :)

Hey Daniel, your Blaster looks great,! Congratulation.

the only thing I would do is a thin brown or black wash over the siver part here. It looks to sterile in the contrast of the rest.

The wash will just stay in the corners, and you can do a fine drybrushing over it. So you can get a used look there too.

Really nice work Dan!

I'm on my doopydoos E11, too.

Stunning.... makes me want to build another one myself... that would make three. ..

  • 1 year later...

Aloha...

I've updated my ANH E-11 blaster...there was a few things I didn't like it....especially the magazine, firing pin/ ejector port and the surface of the main tube.

Currently the blaster is an ANH Hero E-11...nevertheless a hengstler and the power cylinder will be added in the near future.

The paint is like my 'Tunisian E-11 Blaster'

Completely unrelated but we have the same computer mouse :lol:.

And the blaster looks really fantastic! And btw, who said you need power cylinders and hengstler to be ANH accurate? :)

And of course, the Hero Luke's blaster

Lol....yap...the good old Logitech MX518 for the good old gamer times...I like this mouse ^_^:lol:

For this blaster is missing the breaking point of the hengstler counter....but I don't need this detail, because in the near future there will be add a hengstler. But maybe...I let it so :D
Thanks for your kind words.

REALLY NICE!!!  Since it seems to be a topic of recent interest for many, I'll ask how you did the "textured" paint?

With 'Hammerite paint:--->>

At first I have paint the whole main body black...after the desiccation I have dap with 'Zewa kitchen roll paper' the black hammer blow on the main body over the whole surface. Then I have add the brown paint on the still wet surface of the black hammer blow paint. This was is whole secret of this awesome surface. My buddy Felice here in this forum is the 'inventor' of this awesome surface...it looks really real like the surface of a sterling submachine gun ^_^

Here's the that I have used--->>
