FunkyTrigger[TK]
This is a very good EIB submission. I think you will sail through. Nicely form fitted. For Centurion I'd look at these areas. Holster length, it extends beyond your thigh length. Your canvas belt, the extra square in it where the holster is attached. Thigh ammo pack curve. I would also nudge the thigh ammo pack upward at your knee area. Good luck Reza.

Clamps[TK]
Good Luck Reza. Looks like you took good care to get a nice fit for your body. Definitely aiming for Centurion from the get go, which is awesome. Aside from Phil's comments above for tweaks, I have one question about the belt, it seems to be stretching around your body rather than wrapping, noticeable in your side profile photo for your left side when you are detailing your 6 split rivets. . Also in the shot where the belt is by itself, it looks bunched up... it the belt elastic? also, out of curiosity, who made your neck seal, I have not seen one with that shine before..i think I am starting to like it! Once more good luck sir...though I don; think you'll need much luck here!
captsafe66[Admin]
Great Looking Armor!! I noticed the power cylinders on the magazine of your E-11 are missing. Good Luck!!
HockeyTrooper[TK]
Very nice work fitting that to your size. And yes, you'll get that line all the time, I get at 5'7 at least once per troop and half the time it is from garrison mates.
Rezablad3[TK]
Thanks for the kind words fellas... i never would get close without all your help and suggestions.. i got this armor assembled and fit to someone else, so for me to trim it down to my size was a bit challenging, i had to trim so much of the armor to fit me and also did a lot of mods here and there, especially on the assembly of the armor, when i got it the armor was held together with nothing but velcro, not to mention there were old holes from drilling that i had to patch up, but with the help of wonderful folks here at FISD, nothing is impossible, hands down to all you guys and big, huge, thank you to you all... Good luck Reza. i think the holster extends beyond my thigh length because of my height, so im not sure what mods i should do there to make it look better. i tried to nudge the thigh ammo pach up a little, how does this look? Good Luck Reza. Looks like you took good care to get a nice fit for your body. Definitely aiming for Centurion from the get go, which is awesome. Hi Charles, the belt is elastic, i got it when i purchased the armor. i am in the process of getting another canvas belt right now, so hopefully when i apply for centurion i will already have changed it. I also got the neck seal when i bought the armor, if im not mistaken, i bought it from a really nice guy named Aaron, here on the FISD, and i think he made the neck seal. Great Looking Armor!! I noticed the power cylinders on the magazine of your E-11 are missing. Good Luck!! Thanks Mark, the cylinders are there, perhaps i didnt take more detailed photos of the blaster. i want to thanks you guys again for the encouragement, please let me know if there's anymore i need to do.. Cheers..
FunkyTrigger[TK]
Hi Rezza, That nudge up looks better and will give your knee more clearance when walking. Holster the weapon, and trim the excess below the muzzle, that would raise the holster length. That elastic belt needs to be swapped out for a more substantial canvas belt for centurion. Are you also considering changing that thigh ammo curve? Mathias and Mr TM posted very recently on how to get a better curve there using a can curve to follow. Rezablad3[TK]
I will change the belt to canvas for centurion, but is the elastic going to be a problem for my EIB approval? I am considering to change that curve, but it seems that i may have to get a new thigh ammo, since that was how it was cut, so i'm not sure there's much i can do with the current one i have. FunkyTrigger[TK]
Where did your nudge up pics go? They had good close ups of the ammo curve in. I reckon you may be able to mid what you have there. Put pencil lines over what you have. The excess flashing under the bottom of the ammo pack could come off. You can trim the end closer to the rivet, the draw on a rounder curve. Put the pencil lines on, and lets see what you have there to work with.. Rezablad3[TK]
Thanks mate, ill see what i can do with it when i get home....hopefully theres enough space left to work with..
Rezablad3[TK]
so i had a chance to draw up some stencil line on the thigh ammo pack last night to get a better curve. i used Mathias's & TM's spray paint can method to try to achieve a better curve. how does this look? and if i do cut on the stencil line, would i have to change the rivet position? Thanks fellas..
FunkyTrigger[TK]
I knew it could be recovered. Yep that looks good to me, I don't think that you need to move the rivet, that's also in proportion. If you like you can wait for a few more comments The curve looks loads better like that. Let me know if there are other things i need to do....cant wait to join the ranks.. Height= 5'6" (i know, arent you a little short for a stormtrooper?) Nah, no problem! Kathy and I are only 5' 4"! Locitus[Admin]
Looks like you're hitting all the EIB marks. I'm liking the changes you made. All I can think of that might help out is that it looks like your knee plate could use some more sanding as the edges look a little rough. And don't forget to paint your knee belt rivets again. So you're approved! For centurion, since you've stated that is your intentions, I'm more hesitant for praise since it looks like you're using overlap assembly. As long as the LMO does not respond to our requests for him to sign off or dismiss the centurion changes we voted on, I'd prefer that we stick to what was agreed on in the vote. Rezablad3[TK]
Thanks Mathias, getting my EIB on thanksgiving..... you just given me more reasons to be thankful today.... this really made my day. Painted the rivets and sanded down the knee plate to get that smoother look... as i mentioned in my earlier posts, Centurion is what im aiming for.. i know that im using the overlap method to put the pieces together, but like i said before, i bought the armor already assembled, and it was assembled using ABS cement, so im constantly trying to figure out a way to pry it open without damaging the armor itself. but either way, i am going to use the cover stips...i want this armor to be screen accurate as possible.... the best thing ive learned here on the FISD is that nothing is impossible....with alot of research, trial and error, and loads of help from great people on this forum...anything you put your mind into is achievable. Again i want to give a big round of applause and thankfulness to all the FISD peeps...im so proud to be a part of this community... Thanks again and Happy Holidays guys.. FISD ROCKS!!!!
