Just revisiting this and applying for Centurion since I lost a bunch of weight and my sides now close up better. Here we go!
  2. Sharp and pointy stuff usually has no problem piercing skin. Rocks and sticks on the other hand, would in my opinion, be a little less lethal. Especially for people who are wearing "protective armor."
  3. I agree with most points, but this seriously? They got beat by a bunch of teddy bears using ROCKS AND STICKS!!! facepalm.jpg
  4. Great job and thanks for the nod.
  5. Thanks for fixing everything.
  6. Nope. Someone broke stuff. I won't be around until everything is fixed.

    501st Bash

I will be at the banquet and at the bash as well. I'm hoping it's as good as last time. The only thing that concerns me is that they opened up sales to the public.
  11. I'd say a good utility knife.
  12. If you can get them as close as possible to the ones Mathias posted including the elastic, I'd buy 2 pairs as soon as you get them made.
  13. For an FX I would definitely suggest the hard hat liner. The FX is much bigger than accurate style helmets and will sit a lot lower if you try to use more traditional padding. This will end up making you look like you have no neck.
  14. Some need to be bent or cut, some will fit as shipped. Either way, once you get them in, ad a dab of CA glue here and there and it should keep them in place.
  15. Best thing to do is under trim them. Then fit them and gradually remove pieces until you get the shape and fit you want. Use a pencil to mark your trim pieces.
  16. Check out this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538 It has all the info you need.
  17. Also, when heatshrinking with a lighter, you don't need to rub the fire on the tubing. Just below it suffices. I used to use heatshrink a lot when building custom PCs back when.
  18. I think your maths is borked. 4x1.5= 6v (in a series) I used to use 8AA hooked up in a series (4x4) to power my 12v fans, but I found that the increase in weight was just ridiculous. I have since switched to 2x9v batteries which still gives me over 12v, but reduces the amount of weight. AFAIK, undervolting a fan will cause the battery to drain faster.
  19. I've always, used a lighter. I even have a heat gun. I just feel it's faster to do it with the lighter than using anything else.
  20. That is some good lookin' armor.
