  1. Hey any helpful suggestions are appreciated I will look for some pics of lukes armor and see what I can do.
  2. thanks! Right now I'm REALLY leaning on the idea of not polishing I do like the really dull look. So I'm going to weather it and if I don't like it then I can just wipe off the paint and polish then weather again any more oppinions on the chest piece?
  3. I do see where I can trim so it will make more of a point on the side. I wish I had the extra dough to get anoter chest piece.....i did enjoy triming and sanding heh. Oh well i'll see what I can do
  4. when I was test fitting, the chest was covering to much of the ab piece so I made the decision to trim, I admit I might have trimmed to much, however, I do like the way that the ab is more visible. do you think by trimming to much it will hinder any chances to getting EIB status?
  5. PROGRESS! been slow but I find putting the snaps together quite enjoyable here is comes! snaps are awesome! Its so wonderful! yes Im holding up the thighs they are not connected to anything yet. comments? Suggestions?
  6. no I didnt hehe, they dont have my size either, I belive I take a 9 or 9.5....10s might do the trick though
  7. Since CA boots doesn't have my size I have been looking around at other places so far I found: --------anyone ever deal with tack heaven? if anyone know any reliable place in the states please let me know.
  8. IllJill probibly be finished just in time for Halloween. Can't wait to see everyones compleated kits!
  9. Good tips. I just pushed with my fingers ever so slightly, then got sone needle nose pliers and gently pulled the parts that went to far in. Not the most fancy of ways but it got the job done
  10. Thank you for the kind words I'll have pics of the half compleated armor soon.
  11. I may not be that great and building. I really enjoy painting so here's now it went. I hope the colors are right. I'm also debating to not using the decals I ordered and just paint the rest of the helm lol. The light does make the gray look lighter.
  12. Good call thanks! Should I sand/wash/polish? Or can I just sand then polish?
  13. Just a question on sanding and polishing: since this is going to bea TD I don't want to paint, I was told to sand and then polish. I wanted to use t-cut color polish white however it's not available in the states. Does anyone know of a polish that's just as good that I can buy in the US?
  14. I wouldn't say its the "only real choice" there are many types of armor out there it basically comes down to what type of plastic you want, accuracy....and of course how much your wanting to spend. Also with some kits, you don't need to paint since they come out all glossy any way. ATA does not however so you will have to go an extra step and prime/paint. I had the same thought when I was looking around, I was totally convinced that AP was the "only real choice" then ATA came around and it was in my budget so I got that. Now I'm looking at some others that are made from ABS for a TK build
  15. one step closer lol. comments and suggestions please. http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki.../Picture006.jpg http://i851.photobucket.com/albums/ab72/Ki.../Picture007.jpg as far as the armor goes, I glued and put velcro on one of the shin parts and it fits really nice lol! now I see everything coming together and its really exciting!
  16. Nice work man! The gap looks fine, only thing I would do is possibly trim a bit more of the teeth. That's just me but if a admin or someone with more experience would comment that would be great.
  17. Yeah no matter what I'm glad that there are people willing to make the stuff I want so I don't have to I'm lazy and wouldn't have the time to make it AND then put it all together. A BIIIIGGG THANKS! to all makers and contributers of this awesome hobbie! *hugs*
  18. I just went to autozone and got "rubber undercoating" by rustolium. Not sure if that how you spell it but yeah, close enough.
  19. Doug, I used rubber undercoating to black out the inside of my helm and to my supprise it reinforced the helm really well, you might want to try that.
  20. I wouldn't use the trim lines that you see on the ears they won't fit. I trimed mine there and...yeah....I had to order another set. Take it slow and learn from my mistake
  21. Your lines on the cap look fine to me.
  22. I agree that ATAs armor is really nice! Its great for me since it was priced just right for a first time armor build. Granted as a first build with no instructions like other kits it is rather difficult.....but who needs instructions when you have the FISD! One complaint though, not so much about the armor more about my SKINNY A$$! trimming the forearms and trying to make them fit is rather tough. Have fun with it, I know I am
  23. TK-2126_MD, where is TMs post with those strapping pics?
  24. I agree with using curved lexan scissors I found some at a small hobby store the next city over. Building this seems like its going so slow. usually every other day I get to work on it for only about 2 hours. Just finished sanding the edges of my armor today. oh well gives me a chance to look at stuff on here and make sound choices on how/what to do next. Sorry for the lack of pics, just nothing really to show yet
  25. I would trim a bit more from the eyes, that's just my thought. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...mp;#entry102223 that my build topic I have a pic of the my helm. As fa as washing, I heard dish soap and luke warm water does the trick
