  1. Not sure why would they recast a RS suit when they have official access to the archive suits. We know some RS parts are duplicates and TM had to provide some sculpts for missing pieces. I imagine this would be obvious to a lot of people.
  2. I ordered a kit and I am not, nor ever will be 501st.
  3. Well, at this price the aim must be to corner the market. That is so cheap for a finished helmet. Must be a loss leader type thing they are doing.
  4. I think there are very slight bumps on the stop that ship and move along in the same area. Although move along seems quite clean compared to stop that ship. http://www.flickr.com/photos/70029929@N05/ Because of the way the helmets were displayed in the case, I took the photos more from the left, so the detail is hard to see.
  5. Were ABS hand guards made first for sandtroopers only? In a RS props photo of the suit laid out, you can see a hand guard with black markings under the right leg. In a Prop Den thread, TM spotted what looked like the same hand guard in an old photo of a stormtrooper outside with a load of kids. He believed this could be Simon’s suit. Maybe he can comment.
  6. Ah!! that explains that. It also explains the missing knee plate. Amazing that this is such an early suit! Thanks for the info!
  7. Interesting as this one does not have the ribbed shoulder bridges. Just the straps holding the chest and back togther. This was fact brought up on the Prop Den. I have a pic of it and there seems no damage to the chest at all where they would have been attached. Its possible that the glue withered over time and they came loose. If I can juts work out loading up the image, I will post it for all to see!!
  8. I thought they had original latex handguards with this suit? It looks like they created new hand guards, as well the missing shoulder bridges. TM had been over top see them recently. Wonder if he helped them out with that? Is that a gloss HIPS pull?
  9. First this and now a new hero EFX legend helmet! It’s going to be an expensive year, but also the best year ever! That’s now repoductions of an original ANH Stunt, ANH Hero and Jedi helmet all available. Who would have thought a few years ago!
  10. I really should have gone for the finished one and not the kit! That is very nice. Not sure I will be able to do such a good paint job! Might have to just turn into an ESB with Mikes decals now!
  11. Looks like the kits will be going out shortly: http://www.facebook.com/pages/RS-Prop-Masters/265114729332
  12. I am down for the HIPS gloss kit. They now have an ABS version as well. The armour is not done yet, but they confirmed the origional is ABS and they will produce as that. In think the first helmet run is closed, but expect a new run soon. They have sone great shots of the helmets and kits all boxed. Looks like the kits will go out first. Go to the RDF and do not miss out on the thread. Its one of the best Stormtrooper threads you will ever read.
  13. Love it! Nice work!
  14. Interesting. What paint did you use to get such a great finish? I did not realise that ABS could come non-gloss.
  15. Mark, Great work! The bridges on the chest are amazing! How did you get them to stick down so well?
  16. Peter, For ABS, it looks quite matt in the finish. How did you "dirty" the armour to such a great finish? Also, are the screws on the bottom lip of the chest for a suspender system to go over the shoulders and attach to the back?
  17. Wow, fantastic work! well done!
  18. Looking forward to seeing this!!
  19. That looks fantastic!! nice work!
  20. Impressive!! here's to another 8000!
  21. Fanstatic work! that's the best handguard style!
