I saw in one of those Star Wars Visual dictionary books that said the pauldron is for "Stormtroopers" to show rank. I know, I know. Typo or the dude didnt know what he was writing. But I do like the way a TK looks with a pauldron. Oh well.

you could try and sew the strap to that part of the forearm so you dont have to use tape at all. save more $$

If you just take the outline without the black background and print it out on a transparant sheet you could have a sight you can really see out of!

Well, I am NOT a recruiter but...have you folks looked into the military? You don't have to go infantry or anything but its a steady job, free room and board (or house if your married and want to live on base) and you could see the world. I was in the USAF for 7 years as a firefighter and I loved it. Just a thought, don't shoot me. I'm just tryin to help.

Krylon "Fusion" for palstic. Its supposed to bond with the palstic on the molecular level, so it should not flake or peel off (in theory). And instead of lining the whole helmet with velcro which could get hot. Paint it black then apply the velcro in strips that way its not totally lined and you still keep the freedom to move things around.

Dont forget the Wonky Aerators on the "8" trooper!

Also IF you have a buddy in the military, I'm sure they could pick some up from Military clothing sales. I remember hearing that "click clack" sound every day in Boot Camp. The TI's wore them.

The only thing I can see about these is a bit of airflow at the eyes to help with fogging.

Thanks guys. The dude I bought this from tried to fill the frown gap but I'm going to have to redo it. Not sure Im going to touch the ears (*chicken). I'm also going to paint the inside black and upgrade the padding. Updates as they come.

Hey all, Ive been secretly working on my TK for a while and I thought I'd show it off as it stands (needs work). It's a partially built FX kit to go along with my MRCE lid I got a while back. Sorry for the cell phone pics

My 2 cents In EVERY military, a soldier will be issued different sets of gear (as all my military brothers can vouch). ie. Standard duty uniform, Desert/hot weather gear, cold weather gear, Dress uniform, blah blah blah. So if the 501st (or any legion, squad, etc.) has a standard set of "Duty uniforms", it would be the stormtrooper rig (IF they were stormtroopers). If they are deployed for a tour on hoth, then they would be wearing their cold weather gear. A space walk would require a different rig and so on and so forth. So in this case the "TK-xxx" designation would follow a trooper with whatever set of gear he was wearing. Make sense???

A Firefighter station uniform and "Turnouts" if there is a fire or something.

I had a HUGE burrito that one of the guys from my station made us. The thing was about the size of a Subway footlong. Full of beans, beef, beans, cheese, and rice. They will all pay for it a little later (excuse me )
