  1. Does AP still have the two left arm and two right shin deal? Or did that get rectified? I miss my AP kit though, I loved it.
  2. Those look awesome, let us know how they turn out. My Garrison has a Tandy Leather account, but we only get like 10% off.
  3. I buy these, they work perfect. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006SRT172?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006SRT1XQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00
  4. Thanks for the info! I'll go with the loops and chemical glove. Look for an application this week sometime
  5. What are the acceptable ESB gloves made of? I have seen both silk glove liners accepted along with the rubber chemical gloves. I have both, I'm just curious on what to wear in my submission photos.
  6. I never glue mine in, pressure is what usually keeps them on. Gluing it won't affect 501st, EIB, or Centurion status, so do what you're comfortable with.
  7. Plastic. Lightweight and more movie accurate. Fiberglassed armor doesn't allow for any flexible movement as the armor is rigid. There's just a laundry list of reasons why you don't want fiberglassed Stormtrooper armor.
  8. Novus works great. I have #'s 1, 2, and 3. I'd recommend number 1 for most scuffs though, number 2 for the hard to get out scuffs. I keep my armor gritty though, I only buff mine annually.
  9. I'll have to try out the foam too, I'm having the same issue with my ATA suit and the kidney plate.
  10. 100 per bag for $6, yes please! Using a Tandy Leather card with wholesale prices, that's a number you can't beat.
  11. IMO, there are plenty of E-11 kits that are extremely affordable and would easily replace that toy gun. I think it is about time that the 501st drops the Hasbro blaster completely, but for some reason stormtroopers are forced to be stuck in the past with inaccuracies that a lot of people don't want to accept, leaving us to turn a blind eye and just say, "All right, have fun with your toys."
  12. Do I need to get my EIB before Centurion? I've had the suit good to go about 2 years now, I just never applied for the EIB.
  13. We'll see, but I'd rather replace my AP with an ATA kit now before I think about EIB again.
  14. I wasn't going to give the Neon City Garrison it's 1st EIB Trooper, now that I've been transferred, we'll see. All I need to do is take the pics, then make a thread. I know I'm good to go.
  15. Nice to see more ESB troopers out there. I've had my AP suit done up in ESB for about 2 years now and have yet to apply for the IEB.
  16. The Screen Actors Guild does the same, only difference is that they pay you for the work they have you do. LFL doesn't. My 4+ years in the 501st taught me some things, one which is that we are often used as slave labour to help companies make money.
  17. I am 501st, but it is extremely hard to get me to do anything with them. Now that I have been liberated and am now in a new garrison, we'll see if things change.
  18. Sent a PM to TrooperMaster, I own his handplates and he's located in the UK.
  19. I kind of have to agree here, some people are extremely allergic to latex and just wouldn't be able to use them. Perhaps there could be some sort of exception to troopers who are allergic to latex? Also, out of curiosity, how many latex handplate suppliers are there?
  20. Is 501st membership required to attain EIB status?
  21. I think that's looking awesome!! How stable are the gloves holding to the handplates?? I ended up to temporarily make some hand loop straps before I drill the holes and try to sew on my ESB handplates. I just don't want them to rip out.
  22. Since you sanded down the plastic, you can just polish it up with the Novus.
  23. Interesting, I didn't know about that 3rd design.
  24. Plastic Welder by Devcon, it's a 2 part epoxy.
