Hahaha, it's tough being successful! Good to hear!
-
Only thing that really stands out to me is the magazine. Anything over 10 rounds is<br> A no-no, unless you're in law-enforcement.

I have a Hyperfirm RotJ E-11 also, and I think overall the DS DH-17 is sturdier. My Hyperfirm started falling apart awhile back and I've had to epoxy it back together multiple times.
-
My DH-17 is primarily pvc, with what seems like a resin cast singlepoint scope. I had them put a metal tube inside the main body to add some heft. Seems VERY sturdy to me. I imagine the DLT-19 is more or less the same materials. By their own admittance, they specialize in pvc work. Pretty sure impact would not be an issue.

I'm the guy from the IOC forum they did the DH-17 proto for. Couldn't be happier. Top notch blaster and great folks to deal with!

finished my CFO ROTJ giong for approval

I've been toying with using white gaffer's tape on the sides of the soles, as a temporary fix until I get a second pair for doing a permanent alteration. That way it's always reversible if need be. Although, if you're going for whatever those special categories are, you might need to make a permanent change... -
---------- Enjoy!

Mine pretty much looks like the one in the video, minus the power cylinders as I dislike that look. It's worth noting that the same company has teased a retail E-11 version. Though the teaser pic I saw had the scope on backwards, as well as the magazine. With the amount of reference out there, you'd think they would be able to get that right...
-
I converted mine, mostly because I dislike nonfunctional props. It does have some inaccuracies as stated, but the overall finished effect is quite good. Especially has a very nice heft to it. I'm working at converting the other company's version into a ROTJ E-11 as well, as practice for having a go at my MGC...

I think it did help somewhat when I consciously tried to raise both pitch and volume of my speech, as I too have a normally very low and soft voice. Moving the pads around a bit until it started working also helped. Pretty sure I just plugged everything in as normal. I'm thinking of adding an elastic strap between the two transducers just to keep the pads snug and in contact with the throat better...

Which Rom/FX? I don't know..got it years ago.. it has three little buttons on one end for the diff modes and up down with a twisty switch about midway up the board and an on/off switch... with a little corded input for the mic and the speaker plug on the board. Set up for the 8 AA batts...if that helps... the mic I got was the dual transducer one at the start of the thread...no earpiece.

Celebration 7 FISD Group Photos (or "how I need to learn to chill out")

Wish I'd been there for this one... At least I'd have been seen, unlike the Legion photo! -
Trooping issues and Solutions for the TFA armor.
Tacblue replied to captsafe66's topic in TFA Stormtrooper
Hopefully they'll address the "eraser shavings" from the gaskets caused by the armor plates shaving them down.. noticed that on several suits, especially at the backs of the knees... -
Hope this might be the right place to post this, but does anyone have a lead on the 4th trooper from the right (in the gap between the foreground troopers)? The one with the black "vest" looking thing...

I'll try and make it, though I only have an FISD tshirt... +1 most likely. Someone posted we are to wear a belt too? That official? Or sticking with shirt, jeans and boots? -
Me too, not that it matters to anyone lol...

anyone have ROTJ scope and rail parts?
Tacblue replied to TK bondservnt's topic in ROTJ BlasTech E11
Please forgive the necropost. Did these parts kits ever become a reality? Just concluded a deal for an MGC and it needs "the treatment"! -
There's scans up of the borchure they were handing out. Has a TK in it... Think it's in the Museum Replicas thread on the main 501st boards...

Gawd I love necroposting. But I have to chime in since my fellow GGG brother Anthony posted as well... My ID number comes from the ages I and my significant other were when we first met. I thought it would be a suitable immortalization of one of the most important events of my life. I looked at a lot of other numbers, birthday, badge number, Star Wars related numbers, etc... Thankfully, my badge number was taken, because, even though it would have been the easiest choice, in retrospect the last thing I'd want to do is link work with the 501st, as I love the 501st, and hate where I work. But then I hit on something very uniquely personal, that come what may would always carry a deep meaning for me. And she took my second choice, but as she's also a member here, so I'll let her speak up about hers if she wants...

Blues, badge, body armor, and gun... But I still squeak by with a Golden Gate Garrison pin on... Haven't been ordered to take it off yet!
