  1. Yeah, but if you want to be canon, you apparently have to use a rusty spoon to make your cuts... That or a stick with a bunch of hungry rats tied to the end of it...
  2. I'm 5'07 and had to trim waaaay down from the top, and a big semi-circle on the back of the knee, and it's only just starting to be "comfortable." I really wanted to keep the movie look, shape, etc., but figured what good would it be if I couldn't move in it. On the plus side, I just discovered that I can actually kneel in it! Slowly.
  3. ID-3238 Golden Gate Garrison requesting clearance. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...cfm?userID=8145
  4. Happy Belated Birthday B!
  5. Having seen the helmet in person, I have to say the pics just don't do it justice! Can't wait to see it all come together!
  6. Also got the PVC neck piece from them. Assured it would be done by C-IV, got it several weeks AFTER. That said, it IS very nice. So far as I am any type of judge at least... Glad I got an ID done in time instead. CostumeBay's stuff is very reasonable for the price, but seem to be aimed more at capturing the overall look and feel, rather than being dead-on accurate. Lady friend has an ID by them, and it's not too bad as a start, once the accessories are upgraded.
  7. I'm considering just ABS cementing it to the vertical strip on the front of the shin. It has a nice, big area of contact for a strong bond, and then I don't have to worry about "melting" my knee piece into shape. I agree the shape as-is is not particularly easy to work with. You might be able to rivet one side, but the other will be quite out of place. Still haven't decided 100% though...
