1. Finally looking back in.. A belated thanks for all the replies. With Anaheim coming up, I suppose it's about time to finish up my RotJ that I started...ummm...how many years ago? Just not having good luck with the CfO greaves, can't get a good closure on the backs, and I am by no means a large guy! So looking into seeing if any other greaves might match...
2. Does anyone happen to know if the colors of the CFO and TM kits match? I have a CFO set, but have incredible issues with the size of the shins, and was wondering if TM shins might possibly match? I'm trying to avoid having to deal with shims...
3.
Is the RFT helmet still going to be coming?
4. Looks like the S&T Airsoft E-11 is finally available.--------- Good for Rogue One troopers, since it seems they used the S&T as a base gun for their E-11s and DH-17 types.
5. Sorry to hear about it. My sig other (81510) might have just ordered one for her up and coming TK, on my recommendation. Hopefully eveything goes smooth. And hope all works out for you.
6. Can't wait to see the RFT helmet! One of my all-time favorites!
7. I was thinking of using velcro cable ties to hold the neck of the boot shut. As it is it's waaaaaaaay too big for my CFO, and probably my ollllllllld AP as well. My pair of Imperialboots boots are way narrower in the neck.
8. RB17 eh? Interesting, I thought the originals were Parker Hale rings. Never knew an actual model number though. But I do know Parker Hale rings use that thick footclamp piece...
9. Hotel booked! When and where is the MIXER??
10. Perfect, thanks, I'll start digging!
11. Are they FB only? How would I order as I absolutely do not use FB?
12. Love the Boston! Mine's name is Vader. And oh yeah, the armor looks good too!
13. You're lucky. I suspect that Trooper666 is running into the same issues I am as far as seams go. The overlap part is often not straight all the way down it's length, and trying to line the edges up leaves verrrrrry little room inside. My overlap seams will have to be down the center of the molded part of the inner piece, otherwise there's no way I'd be able to fit in it, and I am by NO means a big guy. Those original TKs mught have been tall, but they must have been stick men!
14.
I have both IB and TKboots, and they are both quite good. Service and communication was good from both. The TKboots might be just the tiniest bit more comfortable, but that might be down to the fact I ordered a size larger than normal, vs. the IB boots that I ordered in my exact size. The problem I find with the TKboots is that the "neck?" of the boot is much too wide, to the point that if you have tightly fitted greaves, as I do, you won't be able to close them. The IB boots fit the ankle and lower leg much more closely in this regard, and for that reason alone I would recommend the IB boots. As it stands, I will likely be taking my TKboots to a cobbler to see if anything can be done to narrow the opening.
15. I know... I can't believe I actually contributed to this thread. (Hangs head in shame)
