  1. Yaaaaa..... sorry Blaze but any menction of cash and kits and stuff like this is a no no here or in any Legion forum. I understand were your going at but not here. sorry man. So changing the subject...... Hows your armor comeing along??????
  2. And dont forget that u can aways add shims on the thighs, to make them higher and wider and renforce on the in side, bondo and sand and paint to hide the extra armor.
  3. Welcome to the FISD!!!!! This is the best and most complete Database on Stormtroopers in this system!!!! U will not only find info on ATA but on all other kits, FX, RT, TE2, TM, AP and others, each armor has many threads. all u need to do is research the older and newer threads!!!!!! Dark regards from OutPost Bolivia.
  4. 1.- yes front and back strip are requiered 2.- it varies some ppl glue or weld one side and velcro the other, personally i could squeeze my gloved hands through the forearms minus the hand plate ,so i glued both sides, as for the legs i tried to see if i could do the same with the legs and stick my foot through the opening, it could be done but somewhat troublesome so i opted to glue the from and velcro the back 3.- u and glue first and trim later, but i think it would be better to trim first and glue later. great questions, but there really isnt a correct way its moslty what works for u...... One great example is the forearms a friend Noel (cow trooper) used small rivets for the fore arms that were later covered by the strips so u cant see them and the forearmes will never open, making it super rigide !!!! if i can find the smallest riviet i will try this, i liked the idea!!!!! might work with the legs two...... Wait are see what other think about your questions and what they suggest, them see what sounds right for u. and dont forget to start a Work in Progress thread about your armor!!!!!! Post pics we luv pictures!!!!!
  5. ??? some were in the first 1/3 of the Threads...( 3 or more yrs ago) u could look for TM, go to his profile page and hit "all threads" first take a look and if dont find it then hit all posts and look for titles refering to strap system. sorry i cant be any more pricise.......
  6. Dude iam in the same Boat!!!! Do to shipping issues to my contry ATA had to send the armor in one box Helmet in the other. Helmet got here ( taking my time and working on it) still waiting for the armor. I can hardly wait to start!!!!!!!!! The cool thing is that there are many of use doing this at the same time so the WIP threads will be cool to see what we do the same and what gets done differently!!!!
  7. Lol and its a feeling that will never leave!!!!!! I still have pre and post troop "stand in front of the mirror secions" and i cant go past a surface that has a reflection with out checking my self out!!!! * Strike a pose!!!
  8. Glad u found them helpfull, but dont thx me, theses were contributions by other members of the FISD, and like i said theses are only a few of the meny that are in the forum.
  9. Great idea!!!!! One other tip that makes a big difference is having the speaker be as back as u can get them in side the hovis, this makes the sound be linear and projected un one direction Vs haveing the speaker really close to the screen and sound goes every were. Great idea Pablo!!!!
  10. As for straping just stick to what TM has provided, very simple, and great. I can do just about anything in armor except touch me toes. i can do a mean salsa, samba and merenge. never had one piece of armor fall off. Plz feel free to test this around ( remember things arnt set in stone). Not to mention that if u look at the early Threads ( around when FISD first Started) there are many, many many ( did i mention many) Strap system pics, mods and tuts. here are a few pics ( some are TM others i dont remember whos , but all of them are in the FISD forum with many other pics) ---------- ---------- --------- Like i said look in the earlier threads, theses pics are just the top of the iceberg. 99% of every possible question u could have has been answered in the forum at some point in time, it like the Kama sutra. there isnt a new "Move" that hasent been done before
  11. Boozel way is also a great method to reduce small amounts of armor for trimming, i made a couple 1/4,1/2,3/4 inch. and my sister uses her dremel with a diamond cutoff tip for all her crafts, and my brother and law uses it for every thing!!!!! Both are a great!!!! even better if used together!!!
  12. Actally Brad other then the ovious facts stated above, one of the clauses we have with LFL is no profit is to be made from our Hobby. If u really need TK at your event Get in contact with your Local 501st Garrison or OutPost ask them, if the event falls under the accepted Legion events then u could have more then 2 TK and for free!!!!
  13. Second that, looks like its had a few tours!!!!
  14. the strap connetion for securing the weapon should be more in the middle and not on the far left, but u would wait and see what the EIB Officer states. As for the 4 snaps on the belt the movies used rivets 4 for hero 2 for stunt, but once again that up to theEIB office to give the A-OKAY The holster it self looks good other then were the strap is.
  15. I agree the T & CA method is not the best for the very thin areas... but for your regular thick place or for other mods or constrution builds A+!!!!!! the Elmers glue with the t-shirt might prove to be very good idea!!!! the rubberized spray paint looks awesome too... i think it will mostly be what u canget where u live.
  16. Ahhhh welll with that back story its easier to swallow..... ill buy that. ( not crazy with the color) but the story fits.
  17. Oaky!!!!! see this is intresting i have never heard of spray painting the shoes..... i used the dremel to dremel the black paint off then applied white leather dye and then used the clear shoe polish..... Intresting will have to try this.... did u sandpaper between coates?
  18. Nope .sounds good.
  19. Leia looks inpressed! Boots look good, how about u give us your take on the boots ( what u did). This was other can profit from one one tut! I like it i got mine like that and then add clear shoe polish, then let is get scuffed up from trooping, only to clean then and polish them when they start to go more TD then TK
  20. YA!!! my helmet got here still waiting for the armor ( monday) but i have to say that its whiter then my FX or AP, greanted it doesnt have the shine but is bright then the abs ones i have!!! ATA said that he would suggest to paint and then weather ( for TD) but i dont think thay would be needed...... but i will go AHN stunt so i will Paint. Very cool GosHawk!!!!! dont forget pics man many pics!!!!
  21. Wow!!!! very nice!!! i think ur set!!!!! the only thing u might want to post before they ask is a close up of your henglster counter, even thou u can see it in your last pics a close up wounld be nice! But it think it a go, lets wait and see what the admi thinks! Looks good!
  22. No man there are many number left, u just have to look for your favs,if there taken u need to look for anothers one. i wanted 356 but it was taken and looked at many finally found that 2126 was not used and got that one. there are still many numbers, the legion doesnt have 9999 memebrs..... yet!!!!
  23. I`ve seen all the other stuff u do..... cant wait to see what u do with this!!!!!! Will be watch this thread closely!!!
  24. what was connected? (Both arms) and the front and back piece? didnt ur neck/back end up hurting after a trooper.
