    Boots

This has been brought up before not here, but in other forums fo other boots and stuff. the main issue is that boots that are good boots and made in the USA the number and volume that needs to be done so that they even think about it is HUGE!!!!! now 99% of boot makers have the boots made elsewere ( not USA) and the volume they need is 3-4 times what are needed in the USA. its a numbers thing..... Ithink the Jango fett boots that K-boot sells are made in Brazil. Thats the problem even if every member of the 501st would get 1 or 2 pares ( more then 8000 pares) it still dosent cover the intrest in almost all shoe stores........ and the ones that would be intrestead ( smaller stores) the money they invest to make the prototypes and first small runns make the shoes to expensive....... But there is nothing said about trying to look for prices and stuff.
  2. Are putting your shins on first and then the boots???? thats the only way i can see ,that u would have that problem..... The boots actually keep the shins in place, try this boots forst and then the shins. Start with the lower area of the shins and work up and back.
  3. Good advice!!!!! Oiltanker is a good option of the current ones around. what i would really like to see again is Wyatts under armor longsleeve top with a in corporated neck seal!!!! thous were awesome!!!!
  4. I forget were??? but i say a mod on this. they painted it black and weatherd it. Look really nice. But it is a little on the small side, like Steve said. But if they sold them here i would get one!!!
  5. really varys un less u get it from them, i have seen theses go for as low as 200, the avarge is 3 or 3.5. Any one???? this right??
  6. lol i have i feeling she will disagree
  7. Wet sand paper u can use with water to let the sanding go smooth, u can dry sand with it or wet sanding ( no plastic dust to breath in!!!) Dry sand papar turns to wet toilet paper if u wet it. As far as sanding goes use fine or high grade paper 350 and up Do about every thing with the Imperial march as back groud music.......... thou the ladies can find it odd if u use it to often
  8. Good job guys!!!
  9. I used the nylon cord amd plastic loopy thing work okay The only thing i would suggest if u use snap methods use more then one snap, cause if it should happen to pop thats that with 2 u will feel one pop and u have time to fix it asap or wait some time.
  10. Try this works really good IMO Once agin i dont know thous theses are, and they are in the forum somewere.
  11. I would raise the thermal boxs so they almost touch the belt, other then that if u fix the other points stated looks very goood. One thing that is typical with the first timers is the "Duck feet stance" that the fact that we are not use to have shins and highs pieces and we tend to stand with our feet wide open. it is something we need to wrok on end force our self to have our feet straight ( check out other build threads and 98% of all of us have the Duck stance or would donald stance be better! looking real good!!!
  12. O_o HINGES!!!!!!! Well never seen that, thats for sure!!!!! Steampunkish!!!! any thoughts on covering it with some cloth or any thing??? i think that in the long run it will really work a number on your undersuit..... Dont forget to remover or cover/paint your under suit logo on your back. Could we get a pic of u in your boots ( regardsless if they are finished or not, it to take in acount the amount of space u will have to move your shin armor up cause of the boots and that will give u more room to make the highs ride higher. On your side pics it looks like if dont have a strap that connets the cod with your buttplate, and i looks like if your entire back armor ( butt, kidney, back plate are riding really high!!) and that might explain the look u have in the front pic that looks like every thing is to low...... does that make sence???? Last i think u could bring your shoulder plates in closer to the straps. try and see if u agree and lets see how it loks after that. Nothing big small things Good Job!!!
  13. Wow that alot of stuff...... For my ABS FX i used Oatey White &/or Black ABS Cement Medium viscosity. Cures in 2 hrs what i really like is that u can put some in Syringes and apply to small detailed areas.

  20. I think u could iron or steam iron the top... Once u steam iron the front them i think u will be able to aline the backs to be level. Ya i think here to the way to go is to steam iron.
  21. Who will be #100 ????!!!!
  22. Hmm.... all three mics i have, had a little slot inside, bearly visable. i would put it in sideways and push ever so gentle and used a q-tip to push some more and then used a tooth pick for fine tuning.
