  2. Nice work on the belt here Bernard, your progress overall is looking good so far, kepp up the good work. Look forward to seeing more in the near future, i think that the FX kit looks really good converted to rotj style
  3. Nice work so far, there is usually a guy selling conversion kits for hasbro/kenner blasters on ebay in the uk.
  4. I think the frown looks much better now, before it was looking a little rotj imho.
  5. Sweet looking armour
  6. Use the search here for advise or google armour building and there are plenty of sites giving instructions, this is a good one http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/index.html
  7. I would use the abs that came with your kit for the belt to add shims, that way it will match nicely, than get a canvas belt for your armour, job done
  8. It would probably look better
  9. Ok i just finished two belts off today one has been bleached white, the other left natural. The only real difference between the two apart from the colour is that the bleached belt looks far more worn, having been through the washing machine.
  10. Obviously not for your eyes only, 007 must be working for her magisty's secret service
  11. Classic
  12. I only add the plastic for where the holster hangs, they is plenty of rigidity in the belt to start with. Depending on the thickness of the abs your using it may be too stiff. I will be interested in your findings none the less, so please post pictures when your done thanks.
  13. I have made a couple of bleached belts and had no problems. They come out a lovely just off white and is a lot different from the natural canvas colour that i usually make them in. It washed well on a 40 wash just a little fraying at the ends. I will try to get some photos up over the weekend up if you want to have a look.
  14. I think your armour is looking really good, but i think the thing with the butt plate is a hard one. I have the FX kit and have cut it where you see the line, but i think its just the way the kit is, different than the movie armour. You can t really see that i have seperated my butt and there is a 10 mm gap but as the belt covers the cut line no one would prob know see what i mean...
  15. Yes and the other three are blue not black.. Humbrol Ad Grey #5 and Humbrol Midnight Blue #15
  16. You should be able to find all the info right here and there are some nice pictures in the gallery to help you out. I have FX armour and the first thing i did was paint the ab buttons the correct colour. i wish i could afford a loverly lid to go with but for now i have other expenses..... Great thread i like to see what you saw at this event, very imformative
  17. Apperently the pualdrons were motorcycle chest protectors that uncle george had painted different colours to show rank. Personaly i think they look weird on white tk's but what ever you do in the privacy of your own home is your business......
  18. Heres how i made mine http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php...pic=665&hl= Gundamzeppelin, did you make your belt 4 inches wide for anh?
  19. Good job on the bittons, hey doesnt it look weird upside down, or would that be the right way up???
  20. I make canvas belts for sale, send me a PM Edit for pic
  21. Nice stand i like the imperial logo very cool. I use kitchen paper towel holders from the pound store to display my helmets, print off the logo on a cd label, nice and cheap me....
  22. Thats way over the top dont buy, PM sent.
  23. Thats is looking sweet I have just aquired a don post classic action that i want to work on as a nice display piece, this is giving me great ideas thanks
  24. Looks very good , are you going to heat up the bells and pinch them or leave them as they are?
  25. With regard to the belt, i think the rotj troopers had a narrower 2 inch nylon weave belt? I would agree that thermal dets and holsters are optional but the holsters worn on the r h s by loops. I think they were mainly removed for the ewok death scene
