  1. @Brent Seymour hi Brent. sorry we missed the update post a few weeks back. I will reactivate the application take a look at it and get back to you ASAP.
  2. @Trooper1972That is great. once we have your EIB set, I will post what we need for centurion to help you get everything ready. Also, not sure what happened but I am not seeing the photo in your last post.
  3. @Trooper1972 I uploaded new versions of the photos with Flickr. Let me know if that works for you now
  4. @Trooper1972 Hi Graeme, we were worried that you would have issues seeing the images. You could try using a VPN like https://protonvpn.com/?ref=pme_lp_b2c_proton_submenu It is free and apparently works well. With respect to the forearm positioning, yes, we would like a new photo in full kit.
  5. Hello Jonathan and welcome.
  6. Hi Graeme, Thank you for your EIB application. Your armour looks great and you are very close to Expert Infantry approval. We will just need a couple fixes before we can go ahead and approve you. Forearm Armour Your forearms are sitting a bit high creating a large gap between the lower end of the forearm and the hand guard. For a more screen accurate look, the distance between the biceps and forearm should be the same as the distance between the forearm and the hand guard. This will likely just require a slight strapping modification. Alternatively, the entire biceps and forearm pieces may be lowered to reduce the gap at the wrist. References Thermal Detonator The control panel on your thermal detonator should be facing straight back, yours has a slight upward tilt to it. This can be corrected by slightly opening up the curve on the bracket to "roll" the thermal detonator downward slightly. References
  7. @Trooper1972 One more item if we may. Could you also please clarify, in the full body photo, the soles of your boots are black and in the close up one they are painted white
  8. Hey Andy, Welcome to the FISD. I am also in Southern Ontario, please reach out if you have any questions. Looking forward to following your build.
  9. @Trooper1972 One more thing we will need before starting the approval process. Could you please add photos of the back of your thermal detonator showing the screws as well as a photo of your abdomen button panels similar to what we have below? Thanks
  10. Hi Graeme @Trooper1972, Thanks for submitting your EIB application (again). We have put it in the queue and will be with you as soon as possible. For your centurion application, we will need a new post for that to keep everything organized for other members to look through.
  11. Welcome Corey.
  12. Welcome back Graeme. For centurion, we will need you to get your Expert Infantry approval first. Here is your guideline I think you are looking for this you can request status changes here
  13. Welcome back Jayke. Good luck on your approval
  14. Hi Angie, and thank you for your centurion application! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Centurion. Congratulations Angie, your armour looks great! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Helmet with respect to the ear alignment, ideally we want to see the ear screws line up with the back of the traps. As different helmets may or may not allow this to be achieved due to their design, it is not required for centurion approval but is recommended for a more screen accurate look. Your left ear alignment is perfect but the right ear could be rotated clockwise a bit. CRL L3: Ideally, the placement of ears (and screws) should closely follow the rear angle of the trap above them. References Abdominal Armour This is more of a dressing issue in that the top of your kidney armour is not aligning with the top of the adjoining abdominal armour. Please take care when dressing to ensure these are aligned properly. We can also see a small gap on the right side but this concurs with a slight overlap on the left side. If this is a consistent problem, it can be corrected with locking tabs or strapping adjustments. CRL L3: Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. References Shin Armour Again, just a dressing issue with the closure on your right shin. The tops of the closure should be aligned. References
  15. If I recall correctly, the denuo novo FOTK will come with a connection at the shoulder of the yoke. There is no seam allowed here, so it would need to be modified to be approved. As with Glen though, I have not seen a ready to wear kit. There could also be other areas that would need to be fixed. my advice on which kit to go with is pick the one that means more to you. You may accumulate more kits down the road but your first will always be the most special. being a member of both spec ops and FISD, both detachment are full of great people who will be very helpful along your journey.
  16. @Stardust665 Hi again, Thanks for getting the new photos uploaded. Looks like we need just one more photo of the right side of the abdomen armour showing the Han snap. We are looking for something like this If you are okay with it, an action photo for our social media post would be great as well.
  17. Hi Angie @Stardust665 Looks like we are going to need a few more photos to complete the approval process. Could you please review the following link and ensure that all of the required photos have been posted. Thank you
  18. Hi Angie @Stardust665, We have your application in the queue and will be with you ASAP.
  19. Hello and welcome Vasco
  20. From your last post, being in Missouri, you would fall under the 70th explorers. https://www.70thexplorers.com you could try reaching out to their CO or GMl at [email protected] [email protected]
  21. Welcome Alex, RS propmasters is a great choice for armour. To say an armour is 501st approved however is not possible. Many of our members proudly wear the RS suits as they are very accurate to what was used on screen. Approval however does not solely rely on accuracy. The armour must also be fitted to you properly. For some of us more robust stormtroopers, theRS suit would be a challenge to wear as it fits fairly small compared to others as it was cast from original suits where the actors were 5'10" and about 150 pounds. Ultimately, it will be up to the GML of the 70th explorers garrison if the costume is approved. Glen's link above is a great place to start your journey.
  22. @MapleTK Hi Randall; feel free to reach out if you need any help locally. I am one of the Canadian garrison GML’s.
