  1. Hi Tim. some photos would be great so we can give a better advice,
  2. Hi Mark, and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armour. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Let start from top: As suggested in your application " you might want to think about extending the paint on the traps above the ears to fill in the indented area a little more.... Since you are a dab hand with a paintbrush this should be an easy fix! (It also wouldn't hurt to take a few mm off of the brow trim ends). " Reference images Just a dressing issue here , your right shoulder bell aligns perfectly with the chest armor and the left need just a small turn movement to the front Reference Images An additional tip to solve this detail is to remove the return edge of your Bells to get them closer to the chest. Reference Images We are suggesting to move your biceps up a bit to allow a small gap between the biceps /forearms, making this you can improve the movement and comfort when holding your blaster . Reference Images Trimming a little more your small ab buttons panel is a small detail that could give a more accurate look to your armor Reference Images This is another simple dressing issue. As seen below, your thighs are riding a bit higher and too close to the butt plate and should be lowered about an inch , this could help avoiding some armor bites. Reference Images Finally in this section , we have your E11 blaster. It looks like your ammo counter in riding a bit lower than references. We are suggesting to repositioning it. Reference Images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements; In this section we prepare you for Centurion. Because Centurion photos show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. CRL L3: Back plate shall have no, or minimal overlap of the kidney plate. It seems like your back plate is overlapping the kidney armor. Strapping between the chest plate and backplate could be tighter, this will help to move upwards the backplate . Reference Images CRL L3 :Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Abdominal and Kidney Plate align horizontally at top. This looks like just a strapping adjustment to the Ab/Kidney connection and perhaps tightening up the canvas belt will do the trick. Doing this will ensure there's no gap and to keep the alignment at top. Reference Images CRL L3 : Canvas belt must be firm / sturdy in appearance. No creasing or sagging Some creases can be seeing along both sides of your canvas belt, you could try tightening it up or making some ironing would be needed. Reference Images Your Thermal Detonator control pad sits a little high and It needs to turns a bit lower so that the controls/round washer can be seen . This could be achieved just bending backwards a bit the metal clips to allow the TD to rotate. Reference Images Your posterior plate is riding pretty far out and really should be brought in to where it aligns with the kidney plate. Looking at your internal strapping, I think you could move or add another "V tab" to the end of the plate and this should make the fix. Move or add a new V tab to the pointed place Finally Trooper, there's a small , but noticeable, gap in the front of your left thigh . Gluing a small piece of ABS plastic behind and filling the front with ABS paste would do the job. ************************** **************************** Congratulations Mark , welcome to EIB and I'm sure you can deal with the Centurion requirements in a great manner so we'll be here waiting for your application soon.
  3. Hi Mark, we're almost ready to finish your application. I'll need to ask just one more photo Trooper. Could you please add a close photo of your helmet's frown? something like the one below try the same angle so we can check the painting up and down. Sample Image . Thank you for your patience,
  4. Hi Shawn, thank you for adding the images. About the Imgur issue , Don't know exactly which tool are you using to post photos Cel Phone with the imgur App or PC with the Imgur page. Perhaps using the BBCODE option could work? If this doesn't work either don't worry, we can work with the thumbnail (a bit lower pace but not impossible). Thanks Trooper
  5. Hi Richard, as Glenn pointed correctly, there's no an specific measured distance mentioned in the crl , however , the reference images shows a good idea of where they should go. I would suggest to mark with some non permanent marker the position you think they would go and compare with the references.
  6. Congratulations Cody , Welcome to EIB Ranks !! just a few more adjustment and see you in CENTURION
  7. Looking Great Richard !! And Welcome to the Club of the Shiny White !!! Great story and Yes! being a space man has always a therapeutic retribution not only when building your own kit but when seeing the smiles on the little and no so little ones. Looking forward for your next step to EIB
  8. Hi Shawn and thank you for applying for EIB. Meanwhile one of us is assigned to your review , I'll need you to do me a favor sir. Could you add the missing photos to complete your application according to the following Photo Check List please? Thank you. ** Added to the processing line . **
  9. Hi Scott, welcome to FISD and congrats for your BBB day and great advances with your ESB TK and your plan to go for higher levels !! . The initial stage is the best time to view the finish line and to plan how to achieve it. With this in mind I would like to make a couple of suggestion to your helmet build. 1- CRL states : Frown is painted black and does not leave the teeth area. In yours, there is a little excess of blac paint that can be removed easily with a toothpick and non acetone remover. 2- CRL States for L2: Ideally, the tube stripes are positioned approximately a pencil width from the side of the cheek. Fall of tube stripe tops ideally lean toward the front. As you can see your Tube Strips a a bit far from the cheeks and the fall of them is on the contrary. Fortunately, for ESB the tube strips are decals, so it's easier to just to take it off and relocate it in the correct position and fall. 3- Finally: Your rigth Hovi Mic tip is a little lower than the left one. In my experience it's just a simple turn the tip a little more to adjust. Here some reference images. Keep up the great work !!
  10. Yes, I always have to be very careful, and it still make me nervous
  11. FOREARMS ASSEMBLY Reference Images I used a Heat Gun (carefully and make a test first with a scrap abs piece) and two wood pieces to mark the section I need to fold in. Applied the heat gun for about 5 seconds to avoid melting and make pressure with my hand to shape the piece. The finished return edge is not perfect but it'll go inside glued to the cover. Additional Trimming Wrist Boxes and Greblies Decided for the ABS Squares method. Used Epoxi Glue Greeblies A few heat therapy. about 20 seconds and bend with a piece of round wood or some heat resistant piece or mould. Must be careful to avoid the piece to crack. You could apply more heat if necessary . Return to Index
  12. Hi Jacob, I'm in the same boat building a KB props FOTK, what I have been done is to check over and over again the FO Build Threads to be sure of the trimming. Keep up the great work !

  16. Hi Mark, I'll need you to do me a favor , and it's just adding one more photo please: 1- Complete Inner strapping, the one you posted shows only the Ab, kidney and butt sections. Something like the one in the photo check list Thanks Sir, almost there.
  17. Hi, What most Troopers do to solve this detail is to add a piece of velcro behind the Belt and under the buttons panel .
  18. Congratulations Natalie, Welcome to FISD !!!
