Halfpint Requesting Pre Approval Review/Trooper stuff RWA
TKSpartan replied to Halfpint's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Congratulations Trooper !! -
They are similar. remember that for Legion basic approval the blaster is not required. And I would suggest , for approval photos or Higher levels submission don't wear the blaster into the holster, (usually it makes the Ab belt to bend a bit to the side )

Armor Suppliers - Individual Pieces and Parts?
TKSpartan replied to Armor9's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Hi Scott, Have you tried with your armor maker? (in case you're looking to replace the same armor parts). Why this? sometimes you would have the issue of different shade of white color of the pieces from another vendor. -
this is the first time I see that. Since it's located behind, I wouldn't worry . Can you post a picture of the front without the blaster? Reference image

Hi Gregory Thank you for reaching us for a pre approval check. Some details that caught my attention As the Crl states for Basic level " Kidney Armor: A separate kidney plate is present, split from the posterior armor." and "Posterior Armor :A separate rear armor piece is split from the Kidney Armor: Yours yours seems to be still one single piece. You would need to trim and install the snap/straps to joint them. Reference You may want to check your Thermal detonator dimensions, to my eyes it seems a little wide? Reference image The rivets of your thigh ammo pack could be painted white for more accuracy. Reference And for the Holster attachment: You can use snaps or rivets

Hi Scott, Adding to what @Chemi explained , we the DO team are not here to discourage anyone but to serve and help . I support completely Chemi's feeling . The FISD has tons of building resources not only a large Gallery Section for reference images, many build threads and approved EIB an Centurion apps, All of them in order to help those who want to build his Armor just for basic approval or to go above and beyond to the OPTIONAL higher levels of accuracy EIB and Centurion. Also there's a clear statement into each CRL , (NOT ONLY TO FISD), that advice the builders to reach the respective Costume Detachment for more detailed info. This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. GMLs are free to approve this costume type. This document is not intended to be a detailed how-to on costume construction; rather a visual guide to be used for 501st costume approval. Details on construction may be found on the respective costume detachment web forum. So, the info is there, the help is there and all of us into the FISD are willing to help and make this a better place as you rightly stated. All your positive comments will be taken in account for future CRL changes and revisions that takes time and proper process.

TK-33555 Requesting ANH (Hero) EIB Status (RS) (1056)
TKSpartan replied to Armor9's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Congratulations Trooper , welcome to EIB ranks. -
Hi Ardeshir , and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted, and on behalf of the entire D.O. staff we are pleased to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly; In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor, and please keep in mind that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. Looking at the under suit, it looks very wrinkled in that area, not a big deal and probably noticeable only when under direct light. But we pointed since we can see it Reference Images *************************************************** Centurion Requirements: In this section we prepare you for our highest tier of approval. Because Centurion photos must show more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Level 3 might be seen there and not here and additional photos may be required. We try to point out all that we can from what we are able to clearly see, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Moving down the calves , they seem too big, a lot of gap can be seen between the armor and the leg(pic. 1). This is something we could see in your previous TFA application (pic. 2), but it seems that in this case, it is a bit more evident... #1 Current app different angle #2 Previous TFA app Once more, Congratulations Trooper !!!
