Starting my first build

Good luck and please keep us updated. Start collecting all those little side parts and tools needed. Last thing you want is BBB day to hit and then you stuck right after throwing the tape away. -
ANH Stunt Build (Back in the game)
Commander Gree replied to BananoPower22's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
IMO, and take this lightly as I am still researching, but your thinking way too hard about all the trimming. Your going for Level 3, follow the CRL and that's it. I have seen and heard about people getting denied because the followed a build they saw in the movie. The CRL is all you need. If there is a return edge required there, then follow what that says, if not, build to comfort. anyone that would call you out for not having a Return edge like in the movie is most likely going to be trooping with you, so no worries. Build looks good so far, keep up the great work and updates -
WIP TK ANH...HERE WE GOOOOO, (slowly)!!!
Commander Gree replied to Commander Gree's topic in ANH Build Threads
Little bit of an update. Havent started on kit yet, still waiting for it to come in. Just made a deal for a B grade blaster (Hyperform), second pair of boots (TK Boots), Belt and holster. Hopefully not too much work needs to be done to the blaster, boots were a really good deal and could pass them up, and still need the belt and holster for the build. Everything should be here once the armor comes in, and when build starts hope there will not be any stalls due to missing items. Also got everything in for Helmet interior, just waiting on an Iphone for Troopertalk. -
Sorry, but you made me cringe so hard...Havent finished reading through your post but I will, that first bit was funny. But "Luke, I am your Father" was never EVER said in the Star Wars Movies...Thank you. Cant wait to read the rest of this feed though. sorry that had to be said!

Can I use Amazing Goop to build my armor? I have had several people tell me to use it and was just wondering if and how it went for others. They told me the E6000 breaks down after some time and has stained their armor. Hope someone can give me some more info on the use of, or avoiding of, certain build materials...THANKS ALL!!!

Jenny's First Build - TK ANH Stunt (AP kit)
Commander Gree replied to JenEcho's topic in ANH Build Threads
Just a tip, not sure what you did with that forearm part, but don't chunk it. you may run into a situation where you need extra material (small parts) and don't have anything left. you might be able to use that forearm part for something, never know. But of course im the type that never throws anything away and end up with a ton of crap lol. but there has been times were I was like "man I need this (insert item)" and after 20 minutes in the garage found something I forgot I had. Keep up the hard work, and im sure part of that pep talk was about the right of passage as a TK to build your own armor. you will love it so much more when you finish. your blood, sweat, tears will be worked into that armor and you will wear it proudly! -
Your not far from what you want, just a little more leg work. I know you had a tough go when you started, reading your thread helped me out a lot to know what to watch out for, Ill be shooting for Centurion during my build to make things easier and less expensive for myself. Man is it hard being on here talking about the build without actually having my armor. I feel like when it comes in im going to have to read 20 more threads to stay fresh.

you cant have any black (for the most part) showing on the sides for Level 3. Also, are your gloves rubber? They look like a felt. and you need to notch your belt, the corners shouldn't be there. Your missing the 3 rivets on the left side. that's all I can really tell that's missing for level 3 based on the pic above

Has anyone heard from him since his initial post here? kind of curious if this is a work in progress or he has dropped it? @Jasonm351 you still there buddy? You have quite a bit of work ahead of you, but like the others here have said you can do this. This forum is amazing and kicks butt with the amount of knowledge and support there is. You just need to work each piece at a time. I also am extremely curious about where you got your armor and if this is something you bought "Complete" or if you attempted it yourself? If this was purchased, knowing who you bought it from could help other potential Legion members avoid making the mistake of purchasing a knockoff or recast kit. I think your kit is fixable, but it will just take some time and coin. Please give us an update on whats going on with you and hope all is well. I just read in another topic that you got your armor in a week, so I hate to say it, but I am about 97% sure you didn't get an authentic Anovos kit...But come on man let us help you out. even though im not approved yet, im pulling for you. If you have half the drive I do right now for this, you have too much going to just let it go...we can do this man, that's why you came here!

Just curious as to where you got your magnets from? I have searched and found a few places where they are pretty cheap but am weary about them being right. Some places have them are super expensive.

Great write up man, made me even more excited, but so much more nervous to start my build. I don't think im going to set a deadline like I said, it will cause me to rush and I don't wanna screw something up. I think I got it pretty much figured out (biggest thing im nervous about is the glue part, have heard so many different things, I went with Amazing goop). Once I get my armor ill probably do the bucket first...I think

Seansull Requesting Pre Approval Review (AM 2.0)
Commander Gree replied to Seansull's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
aw man awesome, thanks ill get to reading. When I went to my first armor party, I asked in front of several that have been in the 501st for YEARS!!! My question was what armor should I go with, and without missing a beat, AM was thrown out 4 or 5 times. I have been talking to them for weeks and they seem to have a real passion for what they are doing. Im super excited because I was on the "backorder" list, but got notified earlier this week that a kit had my name on it if I wanted it. Um hello, payment sent lol. Now to just sit and wait. I really want to push to get done for the Solo movie but its gonna be tough and a lot to ask from my Squad mates, but we shall see (kinda hoping we will get a troop for the premier). -

Seansull Requesting Pre Approval Review (AM 2.0)
Commander Gree replied to Seansull's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Man this post has me pumped about getting my AM armor, just ordered mine and they are telling me about 4 weeks to ship. only thing I see that may cause an issue (but not approval) is the sniper knee is tucking under you thigh. it may become bothersome to you -

Guess what i can do is get everything installed, then make the judgement from there. shouldnt take too long to get the new mic in if needed -
WIP TK ANH...HERE WE GOOOOO, (slowly)!!!
Commander Gree replied to Commander Gree's topic in ANH Build Threads
Yeah i figured the helmet and Chest armor will help, but the uni directional mic would also help once there are fans inside the helmet. I get hot easy so fans are a must lol -
Jenny's First Build - TK ANH Stunt (AP kit)
Commander Gree replied to JenEcho's topic in ANH Build Threads
Wow, that looks bad. maybe the "hot water" technique would work to reshape it. That hurt me to look at. Please keep us informed if you get it fixed and how -
