  1. Glad you made the "Smart" move of coming to the FISD. Welcome and we look forward to your progress. I definitely agree, its like building an OT TK is a right of passage. but its not for everyone, and thats ok. We are here for you!
  2. I see that you were very close! Any updates???
  3. Welcome Paige! sorry im late to the party! but i gotta know, did you make your deadline??? (im gonna go look for a build thread but maybe you can cheat me the answer)
  4. Welcome Adam and on behalf of every TK you have ever helped suit up, we thank you! my first TK was built with the specific intent of being able to dress myself, but boy is it amazing to have a person there to assist. I really hope you decide to jump into this, but be careful, its addicting lol. You got this bud and are in great hands. if you have any questions or concerns, comments or complaints, you came to the right place. let us help you know, and get you suited up!
  5. Welcome Alan! If i might, the updates you are posting are absolutely perfect and boy do we love to see this stuff. Might i suggest, move these over to a WIP (work in progress) thread and continue to post there. that way you will one day be able to go back and look at where you started, and may undertake the building of your next kit, and can use these as reference pics. Either way, welcome to the FISD and we look forward to you joining us.
  6. Welcome Terry! I am just now placing my order for another TK and am gonna travel this road with you with AMs new 5.0 armor. i built the 2.0 and it was amazing so can only imagine whats coming. Cant wait to see you get your approval and added to the ranks here. Good luck and as stated, if you havent already, start your build thread. put things you already have bought or are planning to buy. track and log all your info as to be able to go back later and laugh at yourself lol (ive done it). but most of all, and this is so very important, have fun sir. I love you said you want to make kids smile, because that is what this is all about. you got this man and you have an amazing group surrounding you here. dont be afraid to ask.

  9. Yeah one issue I see is your thigh piece is a cylinder, and should actually and more accurately be a cone. Wide at the top and more closed at the bottom. This will also help with keeping it in place. The main question though is how is it secured to your armor? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. WELCOME! what part of Texas are you from?
  11. If you buy the right fans, and watch your mic placement then no. And if they do make something up about having a systems malfunction. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. As soon as budget allows. If you dont have to wait then dont. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. Start from the ground up. Everyone sees you from the waste up, not many people look at your feet. So use the learning curve from the ground up. So that by the time your at your arms, you have the hang of trimming and such. Also, with your shins, don't fit without your boots on. Always measure with boots. And dont wear regular clothing under, wear your body suit. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Yep I had to cut a half moon in my elastic. It's the only way Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. AM armor should be wider I believe Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. Welcome! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  17. Sorry I have to disagree. None of these pics look like the Anovos paint. But as we said we dont go for screen used, we go for standardized Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  18. Hmmm, I would leave it has it is. A little flex is a good thing. And it's all about dealing with the cracks as they come. You dont want to start adding unnecessary weight, although FG is light. As far as the ab parts, your not going to be putting a ton of stress there. Or at least I haven't seen issues. But what I did was put the rivets in as non functional, and glued snap plates over them. This way there is no actual stress on the holes for the rivets. It's not necessary for L3, they just need to line up, not be functional. I did however change the middle section of webbing from webbing to ABS to hold its alignment. You can see it here: Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  19. Yet another reason I hate Anovos...Those teeth look horrible...to me anyways. wish they didn't leave so much white and the top and bottom. Welcome though, and glad you finally got your stuff. Your in good hands here, and we will help you reach your goal of being amount the very best at L3.
  20. You need to paint the rivet heads on the kidneys Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  21. Looks like your trying the traditional way of keeping the shin closed. I would put velcro there. It wont have any bearing on your level of approval Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. Had a problem with my belt too, so I heated the plastic just a little and bent the belt so it would keep its shape, and not try and straighten out. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  23. Put foam behind the front to push it out. Shouldn't really be an issue. You may also want to pull your thighs up Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  24. Looks good to me Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
