Well, seeing that this is a Star Wars forum you're seeking advice on, I would say the official answer to your problem would be to..... buy her a slave Leia outfit! The rest of the evening will pretty much plan itself out... Or, you could offer her one of those fem trooper outfits (the ones with the ta-ta's on the chest plate) as an alternate.

How to do a no.1 while in your armor..

Anyone ever heard of a pittle pack? lol Hey, works for fighter pilots... -
Is height a factor in elite status?

I'm glad I'm only 5'11". If I were in the 6+ range then Vader would be SOOOO tempting. My pocket book just wouldn't take the abuse. -
I'll second that. TM, you're awesome man. Keep up the good work!

You know, I've learned a few things since reading up on a couple of forums about Gino (and I've read A LOT). He seems to love flaunting his helmets to try and make the world want one and then not give access to them. I'm fine with somebody making some really awesome props and then showing them all off. That's cool. But don't smear everyone's face in them or hang the proverbial carrot in our faces. No one likes to be 'lorded' over by another 'peer'. We don't care all that much. His priorities are self-serving (though I'd imagine he thinks different in his own mind). What I like about the FISD is that we are serving each other as a community with a common goal; to have fun and bring a smile to a kid's face in the process. One should never belittle someone else to prove a point, and I've very seldom if ever seen that here. Hopefully I don't offend any Gino fan-boys, but if you can't judge a man by his words, what can you judge him by? So, FISD members, take that banning like a badge of honor!! After all, what do we know...

Hey Matt! Nice to see you here! Wayne was telling me just today about your project and all I can say is 'WOW"! Great things coming out of our soon to be squad here in Abilene. If I can only finish my TK in time for that food bank drive in March.... Keep the photos coming man!! Awesome, simply awesome... -
This the article? http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2...es_N.htm?csp=34 His comments didn't seem really offensive to me. He was talking about a SW convention GL had him give a Vader voice salutation.

Yeah, I thought all the footage was injected digitally... Any idea where this documentary footage is?

I can definitely agree with rapstertee! When I primed/painted by TE2 lid I was pretty scared of imperfections too. The most minor defects scream out on something solid and shiny. Plus, out of all the colors, white seems to be more prone to runs and sags. But, you know what they call a TK with a bad paint job, right? A TD... he-he-he j/k!!

Yep, no way it's an AP. I got up to take a leak during that commercial!!! I'm so mad at myself....

Hmm... Seems like I lined up the bottom and used the modeling iron on the top. That kept me from re-forming everything at the bottom. Reforming the top was much easier. Either way, you're going to have to throw some heat on that bad boy to re-shape one end or the other.
-
You may also want to take into consideration the ease of assy and painting. The AP can really be tough to put together on some parts due to missing parts being duplicated from one side to the other. They'll all match up if you're handy with a molding iron. The plus is ABS doesn't require paint as it's already nice and shiny. The TE2 is made from HIPS so it will need to be primed and painted. From what I understand (and as previously stated) it comes from a more complete set, which would make all the parts go together much easier. Both armors are considered very screen accurate due to their origins. I guess your only realistic solution would be to get both! I own a TE2 helmet as well as an AP suit and helmet. ...I know one day I'll want the rest of the TE2 suit to go along with my TE2 bucket. Hey Guns, do you do lay-away!!!

Another recent sci-fi I really enjoyed was Sunshine. Also, did anyone mention Transformers? Can't wait till the next one this summer! I grew up on SW, Transformers and GI Joe (another soon to be movie!!)... It must be all us 30-somethings making movies from our childhood afternoon cartoon favs huh?

Forbidden You don't have permission to access /172/7/31/57/25...88PiJAPv_fs.jpg on this server. Anyone else getting this message from the link? Using firefox...

Piggy-backing on this...do the extra t-tracks have to go on the hasbro E-11's for elite status (along with the other doopydoos and d-ring of course)?

Mine ended up a tad big as well. Better to go same size or 1/2 smaller.

Heart of an empire dvd run - Cost of cd and shipping.
tatooine replied to DarkeSword2020's topic in Off Topic
I think copying something like this would be counterproductive as previously stated. If the DVD says you can distribute for free then it's ok, but otherwise... If you see an FBI warning rolling past that would probably be a warning. I'm not saying I've never copied anything or downloaded movies from torrents (I can neither deny nor confirm!!) but I wouldn't advertise it thru a public forum such as this. Know what I mean? -
Yep, AF is the way to go. I've been in 10 years myself. Just got to go that extra 10 to get that retirement check! As others have said, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GUARANTEED JOB! Unless you want to be sloppin food in the chow hall or standing at various entry control points checking ID's for 12+ hours a day...not that there's anything wrong with that (don't want to offend any Services or Security Forces folks out there)! Also, others have mentioned that there's no ship duty, but keep in mind that deployments to various 'sand boxes' are reality in the AF as in any other other service branch. We got a lot of aircraft sittin around the world and those things aren't fixing themselves. The closer your job comes to aircraft maintenance then the more 'intimate' you'll be with deployments. But, i will say that for me, the AF was the way to go. I'm a single parent and it's working out good for me as far as workload, hours, and TDYs go. I enjoy the people I work with, I can get a good paying job on the outside, and stability (AF doesn't get moved around as much as other services on average). As far as promotions, the AF may take a bit longer compared to other branches, but it takes WAAAY more effort to lose rank! We hardly ever get demoted!! Hope this helps and good luck! It's all what you make of it!!

I've occasionally been getting an error message as well on this site. I usually end up having to close the browser and reopen it. I'm using Firefox by the way. It's only been doing it the past couple of days...

If it's not too late, I'd like one VaderDave! Happy New Year! P.S.- Kindness is not a random act wherever it happens to take place!

Yeah, an online .iso would be best. Then it could just be downloaded and burnt to disc. Why waste money on blank discs and postage? Let us end users toss out the few cents for the burn. Also, the torrent idea was a good one too. It's no big deal to suck down 4gb or so off a torrent.

I'm in Texas as well and ordered AP. It got to me within a couple of weeks from Canada. The tracking info was fairly accurate in my case. It arrived safe and sound. I'm sure yours will too!

Hmm, no garage? Use a friends garage! That is if they don't mind white overspray all over their floor (you should see mine!) And a heater if the garage is a bit chilly...

Any admins know what causes it, or a fix?

Pretty normal behavior when exposed to the SW stimulant. Once you get the bug, you're hooked! My boss had never seen ANY of the SW movies. Guess what I did? Yep, made sure before the end of the week he went home with all 6 movies! Now I'm just waiting for the addiction to take hold! Long live the Empire!!
