  1. Ehmn….not if done correctly, I use it on all my TKs
  2. If screen lineage is your thing the best option is RS propmasters. https://www.rspropmasters.com/store/stormtrooper/stormtrooper-helmets/stormtrooper-hero-helmet-a-new-hope-first-edition/
  3. I received 3 neckseals a few weeks back and 2 pauldrons are on their way via DHL and the FOTK is later this month so it’s starting to look really good
  4. I’ll guess you got some lodgers now (me!!)
  5. The original armor is also oval and despite the fact that one would think that it should be round your limbs are more or less an oval shape, making for that organic look and feel that the ANH suits almost felt as they had grown onto the body. To test this, just extend your arm, palm up and look at the shape and you’ll find that it’s more oval than round
  6. Perhaps you are putting to much force on the blade, going very light at first would be my advise. Think of it as scoring the plastic rather than cutting it. A couple of gentle passes and a few with a bit more pressure is uasually all it takes, atleast on 1,5mm and then you wiggle it back ’n forth and OH SNAP!!
  7. Actually that is just the light playing tricks, that’s a photo of an original bicep and those have no ridges at all.
  8. Yes those are inner pieces. Hopefully Nick hasn’t glued them yet or used E-6000. As for coverstrips: the rule of thumb is to cover as much of that flat area as possible, preferably all of it. Sizes: In general. Arms 15mm. Thighs, front and back 20mm. Shins, front 20mm. Back of shins 25. These can vary depending on the Troopers need of more room but one should avoid bigger than 20 on the arms and 25 on the legs.
  9. Short answer: No, not if you wish to get Approved
  10. And that is also a requriment in the CRL Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area. A total of 8 cut outs in the teeth area of the frown are present.
  11. Hey Try twisting it on left to center, oposite from your picture Also that dent you are refering to is a feature on the RS helmet and one of those quirks that the original helmet they got has, so I would leave it the way it is
  12. That should work based on your pic I would open up the eyes some more though. Perhaps that is on the to-do list but trimming the edges of the shroud wouldn’t go a miss either
  13. Pssst…they are having a sale as we speak And…FREE domestic shipping….as a non-US person *deep sigh*….
  14. So..? Kidding aside…matching the paint is easy, the code is RAL 9010. Getting a helmet from another vendor is not a problem
  15. Yeah it’s kind of strange with the pricing, If they mark it a 600us helmet why ”only” 700 for the full armor kit with gaskets. I paid Anovos 850 back in the day and additional 150 for the helmet. The stand alone FO helmet was at the time 199US (If memory serves). Anyhooo….still think you should get one, can’t beat the lineage-feeling
  16. The FOTK is said to ship no later than June so fingers crossed and as you say, more likely than not the Anovos molds are now in DN hands. Would be very surprising if that was not the case. Anyway, they seem to follow through on everything they have said so far so I’m pretty confident the FOs will start to ship as well But there’s always that off chance my feeling don’t serve me right…I have been known to make mistakes…from time to time…
  17. The first transport has arrived! Changed one of the FOTK kits into 3 neckseals and 2 pauldrons, neckseals were first to arrive and actually within the timeframe given All is not lost and hope is yet again restored!
  18. Ears look fine to me, I would put the screws in and see how that affect things, as you say it will help pull things together. Take that pic from a few feet away as you are looking at someones elses TK and not your own and I’m sure you will feel more pleased with your work From a little distance those minor gaps will look more like shadows around the ears While I’m at it, perhaps you plan to revisit the eyes but if not, I would be inclined to trim them some more
  19. Glen is correct, Centurion is the higest level and it needs to be shown. Now…as Glen said the D.Os might be ok with it but as a former D.O myself I would have asked for new photos. Good luck
  20. It’s possible and often used to shorten the cod/ab plate so suit shorter Troopers. Usually it’s fused back to solid though. Some keep it ” loose and some make the mod to get some mobility. I wouldn’t though as for me I want the feel of the original suit. A moving codpiece takes it away, atleast for me and not sure it will look as good as a solid one either.
  21. That makes it heavily implied though, especially If you are new to the whole thing. Just something to consider.
