  1. I have two kits that are 501st approved that is all 3D Printed (Imperial Death Trooper and FO Tie) I agree that the finish you put into 3D printing a kit is a lot sharper however as nice as it looks, it's not durable what so ever if you are not careful with it. I dropped my Death Trooper backplate on concrete while changing and even with fiberglass and metal bar reinforcement, it cracked in half like an egg. I still plan on 3D printing armor and whatnot but it's not much cheaper than an ABS or Fiberglass kit. The amount of work and materials you have to do post-processing drives up the cos
  2. You are unlikely to find accurate files for free or dirt cheap, to be honest. Armoyshop makes a 3D armor only kit but does not sell his files
  3. Hi mate, just read your post on your batch of 3D printers (very nice btw).  Do you have a preference on the Prusa vs the Creality CR10?  I'm looking at getting a printer.  Does the extra price of the Prusa justify it or would I be better off with the Creality?

I would say yes, the Pursa's are totally worth the high price tag it comes with. As nice as the CR-10 is for the build volume (etc), I get way better and more consistent prints from the Prusa's. Also besides quality and all the bells and whistles both have, the quality of build and especially the instructions is light years better than what the CR10 has. Plus customer support from the OEM of Creality is pretty much non existent, while Pursa has the best customer support I have EVER had.

I know I've been bashing the CR10 in this small rant but out of the box, the CR10 need's a lot more loving and trial and error IMO but it is way easier to assemble. It's still a huge powerhouse of a printer for those that don't want to spend that kind of money for a Prusa which is totally understandable. I would look into Youtube videos on both printers on assembling both kits which may give you a better idea what you may like better. :)

  6. I've been using CA Glue (Insta-cure gap filling Bob Smith) and haven't had any problems so far. The glue holds parts rock solid.
  7. Not really a fan of the new look also... it looks like the helmet got hit in the face with a shovel
  8. He got Jims (Jimmiraquois) kit from the rpf sales thread here, http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=245993
  9. I love how much detail you have put into this project, cant wait for the finished product! I'm not sure if it has been pointed out in this thread or elsewhere, I chipped out a screenshot that looks like there's a bracket with two bolts sticking out to attach to the thigh clip on the baton.
