    This has been a great read . It's nice to read peoples ideas about this subject .Thanks , Ladies and Gentlemen :)

    When I first started in this hobby , not that very long ago , I had no idea about the difference . The first time I put my armour on , then put my FX bucket on my noggin and looked in the mirror , I knew the difference right away . I have vivid memories of seeing Star Wars when I was 11 years old , and that bucket was not what I remember . I trooped once in that thing before I decided to upgrade .

    I know I will never have a screen accurate outfit , but I'll try my best to get as close as I can with the resources I have . Thanks to the good folk who frequent this site , I have a lot more resources to work with .

  8. Weekend plans

    Saturday is half over for me :( Done my normal 4 hours of Saturday morning work . Going to have an afternoon nap very shortly . Those of you in the over 40's group will understand the need ;) . Going to a mates place for dinner , then going to watch the football on the TV . A bottle of port , and a couple of blocks of dark chocolate may well disappear .

     

    I get to troop and watch a pre-screening of Clone Wars.

    We are doing the same thing tomorrow !! It's a big event for us , with 40 ish troopers planning to attend .

    Hey Damien , welcome to the FISD !

    It's quite likely that we met at Gencon , I was one of the TK's at the 501st stand . It was a damn fine weekend :)

    Have you been to the Aussie Garrison http://501tag.com/ site yet ? Check it out , and have a chat to some locals ... Woppo ( a member here ) is the only TK in Tasmania , but I'm sure he'd love to have another TK around the place :)

    Thanks Dave. Ordered my AP kit today so we'll see how it comes out. Sorry to hear you're getting rid of the clone armour, can never have enough TC's. :D

    Mate , that's great ! This place will really help you out . Looking forward to seeing it :)

    Concerning the clone , I bought it a week before an opportunity to get a set of TE2 landed in my lap . Not too much of a problem , who needs to eat when you get to have 2 great sets of armour :) , but Abi contacted me , and she is really missing her armour , even if it is still packed in a box . She asked me if she could buy it back . Who can say no to a woman who wants to build her own clone ?

    I thought we were talking about the rare C-38 tape dispenser. You need to take your fan made butt nuggets to another sale thread, show some respect for the screen used C-38.

    Thanks Billy , it has :) I realise now that we all individuals , with our own shortcomings .But , as a group we are much stronger than we are as individuals . You just have to take into account how some people think . It is all about supporting your brothers ... even Stomper ...

    Getting back to the point ... Stomper take your time . These babies are going to be worth the wait :)

    Perhaps , to sweeten the deal, and grease the machinery , I could post over some of my mothers home made chocolate cake . I can't guarantee what condition it would be in when it got there , but chocolate cake is chocolate cake , and I know you have a weakness for it . I'd send some latex gloves to keep nail polish chocolate free , but I'm sure you've already got that covered ;)

    (man... there's a lot of troopers around here named "David"!! :lol: )

    Well ... Davids are a good bunch to have around ... either that , or we are common .
