  1. They’re actually very good. Comfy too. Might be worth washing as I got dye bleed from mine after two troops. Quite annoying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. Filler is required [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Coming along nicely mate! Look forward to further progress
  4. Biceps are the issue - as with many of us! Need to get them up and staying up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. Can’t see any issues that’ll prevent you from painting. Your work will all come in the strapping [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. Awesome work Shiloh [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. +1 for filler and glaze putty. You’ll need webbing too to create your harness and drop downs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. I heard KB Props has major issues with white ABS supplies. Looks like that problem has been sorted! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. Teresa’s work is fantastic! Great purchase. Tandy snaps are the go to for most. All the other components you list I purchase via eBay. As long as you know what you want it’s easy to track down and the quality is fine. What you save in $s and time as they’re delivered to your door is priceless [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. It’s also nice so kids don’t look up inside the bucket and see a face [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. You're looking in great shape and good to go! If you don't have a balaclava yet I'd highly recommend the UA HeatGear Tactical Hood. Lightweight and awesome.
  12. Your ab seems a little low. Use the butt and cod to determine the correct positioning. If you’re working on expanding the thighs I would recommend shaping them too - top and bottom. This will help them sit higher. You also need to create room for the knee plates. You need to shape the inside top of the shins. Once the inside seams have been glued together you’ll then need to fill and sand the inside greeblie hole. I have felt on the front inside of my spats. Not only does this help preventing scratching the shin paintwork it also helps keep them in position. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. You’ll want to shape the inside of your shin top. You’ll also want to fill that greeblie space - it it still exists on the v5. Rather than fill your thread with my pics I’ll happily share a link to a folder do you can view. They were all on my build thread before the Photobucket change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. There are left/right shins. You just need to check greeblie placement. You’ll also add the thin boxes to the left shin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I shaped the front of the thighs using the cod as an outline. When you look at an FOTK you can see how the thighs follow the edge/shape of the cod. I trimmed a little at the rear just to get a nice clean curve. I trimmed the bottom of the thighs just to give a little more clearance around the knee plates. JUST REMEMBER THIS.....be sure to measure the placement of your thigh holster before doing ANY cutting. It would be easy to get carried away to trim to size then realise there's not enough room for the holster to fit properly. Spats I just slide on. I'm lucky. It might work for you. When I kit up I go knee gaskets, thighs, slide on spats, boots, shin and then push the shin down to sit in the spat. For the TD I use magnets with a small elastic/Velcro return that goes over the top of the ab piece and connects inside. The movie kits has little plastic returns that sit on top of the ab plate. People often used Velcro to support this version but magnets (thin) should work too. Hope that all helps
  16. Are you shaping the top and bottom of the thigh? This might help you. Many just put Jim’s thighs on ‘as is’ and it looks off. You can shim at the back of the thigh and it has worked well for a few people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. Its out of the box! That's a great start Any sanding done as yet? Once you get going you'll fly through
  18. I did all the straps and connections before painting. I just masked them off to protect from any stray paint [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. I've been able to make good use of the good weather and some occasional free time to move this project along. I had also been waiting on the arrival of some paints from interstate so the stars aligned this week! First job was to give the yoke and bells a good sand and wash. A relatively quick and easy job. I should note that the spares I received from Jim are v5 and are so much lighter and smoother than my v4 kit. He and his team have worked miracles! Next up I was able to lay down a primer/filler layer... And after a good dry I was able to tackle some of the pinholes with 3M Glaze and Spot Putty. I LOVE this stuff! So good to work with... A day passed and I was able to give a wet sand... Before hitting with another layer of primer/filler the next day... One more round of bondo that night... And after a further wet sand I was ready to lay down the matte black on the bells. I decided to use the Rust-oleum Universal Flat Black for no other reason than I used the same brand/type in White Gloss for my kit. The paint went down well... ...and after two coats and half-an-hour of waiting I was left with deeply satisfying black matte bells... It has been five days since I started but really a matter of an hours work in total. I'm loving this mod! Decals of the First Order insignia have been ordered from an eBay vendor I have been dealing with for a while. Have ordered both 2.5" and 2.75" as I'm still not convinced which is right for the Jim bells. In a week or so I'll know! Latest news on the new helm is that, all going well, it is just weeks away. That will be a more complicated paint exercise but having already successfully resprayed an Anovos standard bucket I feel prepared for what is to come. And then there's the matter of the Laser Ax. Obviously not required for approval but a necessary part to complete this build. After an update today I believe it will be heading my way this weekend
  20. From motels to bathtubs...you are a true innovator! Great work
  21. Certainly looks more black than a standard SE-44C. We known the new armour still has the standard holster bracket so it will be interesting to see what it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. I wouldn’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. They have the data but look at the huge difference between the TFA Premier and Standard buckets. Very different. Most regard the standard as more accurate. Their FOJE looks a little lazy too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. The TD will cove kit perfectly! You should put some support straps or otherwise to keep the back of the ab in line/secure but otherwise you'll do fine
  25. It’s so much more than the teeth. A lot of designers looked at if/how you could mod the standard TFA helm but it’s just not 100% achievable for accuracy. Then again, that hasn’t bothered Anovos with their new offering! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
