got the teeth cut out yesterday and the eyes a little more shaped, taking my time with this and goin real slow, also what is the best color match to the khaki of the origional helmets? i would like to add some chipped paint effects heres where im at so far with the faceplate, how do the teeth look? -
Got my 40th anniversary helmet kit from RS today and started on the eyes, going after mr no striped replica i notice he has a clean right eye and a bit of a sleepy left, mine is over exaggerated at the moment as i didnt want to remove too much ill definately remove a little more, i also think i cut the right eye a bit too much and a bit too round sorry for giant images, but hey more detail lol
-
Some of the screen used armor just had it screwed into the face of the armor i think they actually riveted brackets to the armor too (no one do this lol)but bit of white paint and it should be fine

i ended up trying marks way but after one cut realised it would make it too small, so i decided to cut the other side on the opposite side of the cover strip so i ended up with twobicep halves with the cover strip still on each side, i don't know what glue rs uses but its way too strong for me to try use an exacto,i have a hole and big slice in my index finger after trying to remove the leftover amor from the coverstrip lol, so i used a dremel sanding wheel to sand away the half of the amor that was still in the cover strip which worked wonders and made me wonder why i even tried the exacto knife lol, that seemed to work for me, sorry if it sounds a bit confusing but either way i got it sorted thanks

i have biceps built by rs and they're a bit too big probably almost an inch extra room which is just a bit too much on my biceps, what would be the best way to remove the coverstrip and to size it down would i just need to cut an equal ammount of both sides of one piece? thanks

hey you could bring your chestplate up a bit more,it would look a lot better good luck! -
if you cant fix the color problem you could always go sandtrooper edit: also remove all that return edge the bottom of your shins and give it a good sand, will keep from scuffing paint off your boots
-
easiest method would be using CA glue with some scrap abs behind, what i did for the couple of cracks ive had
-
lookin good! , just few minor adjustments as 68brick said and youll be on your way m8!
-
you should also cut off the return edge at the bottom of the shins
