  1. Nice job Jez, that video is worthy of keeping for 30+ years as well.
  2. Gino pointed out that the greeble in the back is the same as the one found on the TIE in back, only rotated 90 degrees.
  3. Here's what that indentation was...WOW Thanks again to Brian... -----------
  4. All thanks goes to Brian for sharing these great photos, maybe the video will be included in the Blu-ray release...ok, ok, I'm dreaming. Notice the back cap on this helmet that Brian said shows that it was pulled by someone else other than AA (Maybe the Elstree guys). Quite the indentation into the bell on the back, rather than the smooth ski jump transition we are all used to with the screen versions. Hard to see the traps in back as well, I can sort of see the front unpainted traps... ----------
  5. I don't think Brian Muir (original armor sculptor) is a member here and if he minds me reposting this I will take it down, but I'm sure he'd want some of his biggest fans enjoying these... Thanks Brian!
  6. Good Job Mike! I know how tough it is...I am in my 3rd month after an 18 year career with a company I started when I was 20, and selling a bunch of things I would never have sold under different circumstances. It's really incredible to think how much you think your job makes you who you are and without it you seem completely lost. My wife's the real trooper, going back to work when she got to stay home before. Back to the retraining and job hunting. You and everyone else lifted my spirits today!
  7. It is nice glossy armor, but you can get more accurate for half the price. While the bells are dead on, the handplates don't look like ANH. I owned a set but ended up selling it for much needed money. It really is more of a display piece. It has the distinquishing aspect of being sold by the vac puller (not the sculptor) of the original armor and that's really what you are paying the high price for, that and a good assembly/strapping system. Too expensive to troop in as well and easily breakable in certain locations. I am 5'11" 178 lbs and I cracked a thigh the first time out, but got it replaced for free at the time. Are you looking for assembled armor only? It's better to assemble and trim your armor to your own build for the best fit.
  8. That used to be my order, until I got into armor kits....with stormtroopers all over ANH, it tipped the scale in the other direction for me.
  9. Hahaha, looks great Paul! He looks downright mean in that thing. Like us only smaller. Swoop in the bell and all. Reworking it again? Incredible! ...you know that by the time he's 16 you'll have 10 different versions! Put those side by side and that'll be a picture.
  10. Argh, you are right, edited. People on ebay using a don post helmet to sell an MR CE.
  11. I agree with Bigturc, picture speaks for itself...-----------
  12. I'd get a different kit and trick that out, I have to agree with Marcel, that could be worth some money someday due to it's uniqueness.
  13. You are right, the first impression is the face, the body isn't as bad.
  14. Well said Daetrin... We want the best quality props and only the honor code among thieves (unofficial copyrights of the prop replica community) and making casts of the real stuff or talented replicators being the only way it will be made available with the accuracy we want. Original propmakers with the exception of AA and maybe a few others, usually won't/can't make those available. If they do, the price is in the stratosphere. AA didn't create the armor, he only pulled it from Brian Muirs sculpts. Still the new stuff is a nice set though; eventhough alot of it is just a mismash of different fanmade producers which is reworked ROTJ. I've always thought the bells to be spot on and possibly cast off the original ANH bells. My opinion entirely, but shared by others.
  15. You can always go to the academy next year...after the harvest.
  16. I felt like threepio the first time I wore my armor.
  17. Those look great Thayne! I also like how you trimmed your eyes on the ANH...they do look meaner Some originals were like that...
  18. Another shot... Edit - Sorry, just realized you meant only Hero.... -------

    Dieting

I agree with Thayne, the biggest way to affect your weight is portions.

    Dieting

After on and off dieting for years, this is how I shed 23 lbs in 6 months to fit better in a TK suit, and have kept it off for 8 months. Plan on trying to work out daily...you'll always miss 2 to 3 days a week due to something, but if you just set the time daily and say "I need to work up a sweat at least once a day", that'll work. I'm not a morning person, tried, but had to switch to evenings to make it more consistent. Lift at least 2 times a week - lower body one day, upper the next, if you want to have lean muscle make it 3 sets of 12 reps, or do 6-8 with more weight to bulk up more. This was the part that I hated...cardio, I'm a limp lungs, but I walked 2 minutes for every 3 minutes running at a good pace and worked my way up to about 30 minutes and about 3 to 3.5 miles, alternating days with the lifting. I've since substitued one day of cardio week to playing basketball with people 15 years younger than I am, yet they still call me the quickest Eat at least one portion of protein (eggs, cottage cheese, lean meat) for every carb, handful. (Protein shakes like EAS shakes saved my bacon, and I probably drink at least one a day) eat 4-5 small meals per day, drink lots of water. With all of that, I was still able to eat treats occasionally and pizza on the weekends while still losing it. There was some saying that after age 30, count on gaining 2 lbs a year of permanent weight gain even with a decent exercise program. I'm not going to let that happen. By the way, I'm 38.
  21. I thought someone had made a CO2 canister that opened and held personal items...maybe somebody can help me out who remembers who it was.
  22. My heart may resume beating for the other two... Totally kidding, it will be interesting to see... Dr. Frankenstein.
  23. I will hear by call it the Metaluna Mutant from MST3K the movie. --------
