  1. Do not be alarmed, just a bit of reference from a book published by Chronicle Books. I am sorry I should’ve thought of this earlier and add to the discussion. but it just pop into my mind when someone ask about TKC on IOC Facebook group if he’s a commissioned or non-commissioned officer. This is in a book called “Imperial Handbook” back in 2015: https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars®-Imperial-Handbook-Chronicle/dp/1452145288/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1538973252&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=imperial+handbook&dpPl=1&dpID=61weZtrbH4L&ref=plSrch Inside the book there is a Stormtrooper section, and they have this illustration: As you can see, the ammo knee belt is in classic OT configuration, the armor parts are in ANH style too without ROTJ trim, and appears to be butt-joined. There is also a small illustration of TFU Incinerator Trooper, but the details was nothing like the video visual references, I guess the Artist took liberties on that too. So ultimately we should stick with the video screen captured references I guess.
  2. No you do not need to cut anything yet. What you need to do is a test fit. Have the parts on you body, use painters tape / masking tape to hold the pieces in place and take some pictures (you will need someone to help you with this). Look at those pictures first, then you will have a far better idea where to cut or where to shim. When things do not fit, it does not necessarily means you have to pull a knife, sometimes hot water bath and hair dryer can help do the trick (test with a piece of scrap plastic first!).
  3. As Daniel suggested check on your cover strips. Also, a little bit of foam padding insert into the lower thigh of your (left leg) will help bring the thigh / shin cover strips into alignment thus improves the overall look. You will need to work a bit more on the ab plate and the kidney plate joining, Centurion requires an almost “no gap” as seen in the screen references. But generally a great build, you should be proud!
  4. I think I have some leeway there I can work on without getting a new knee ammo strap. I also found a belt face in the stash, I think it was a spare from TM I ordered. I believe that is the original parts for ROTJ kit that came from Paul. He made me a spare one for my ANH Hero, I think I mixed the two up when I went through the kit parts around the time I am starting the build. The ROTJ one is actually 3/4 inch longer on both end. I will replace the whole belt too to make the cover button a little closer to the edges. Added 2 5-16 snaps on both side of the Ab plate already as Randy suggested earlier. I will start a modification thread inside the Stromtrooper Commmander build section to document these modifications as I work.
  5. Found an old unused canvas belt in the stash (was to replace my old MTK TK belt, but then went for a different direction so it is unused). Before (Top) / Reworked (Bottom) Ammo belt replaced with whiter canvas belt. Have to trim the velcro on the belt face off by an inch, I think its a bit too long now.
  6. Welcome back Trooper.
  7. Are you ordering just those parts? You might want to shoot the man email if they are not listed. I used to make requests for small parts back when I order a kit with them, but might take a little while before they get back to you.
  8. Should have no problem for clearing basic approval. 2 things to watch out: Bring the shoulder bells closer to the chest if you can (by adjusting strappings) and watch out for the knee sniper plate poking into the thigh (some padding in the back of the thigh will solve that). You look sharp to shoot for EIB.
  9. Hi Patrick, I highly recommend you go check out the EIB request threads in the “Advanced Tactics” area here on the forum. You will get a better idea how to look really sharp in armor. You are almost there, just work a little bit more on the issues our guys mentioned above and you will be trooping in no time!
  10. Went back home a little early today and worked on it. BEFORE (L) / AFTER (R) New tubes decals applied too (Right picture).
  11. Thanks Glen , I will correct the details this weekend.
  12. Thanks Rebecca, I see what you mean, I will work a bit on the frown again this weekend to make it right.
  13. Thanks Daniel, I will look into the frown area again cf reference photos. The traps / tears and tube strips are decals (by TrooperBay).
