  1. Officially 501st, and my first Troop is already in the books!

  2. Yep! Lvl 3 is where it says it can be attached via nylon or elastic, elastic being preferred. I think I've seen a few Cent apps get approved with it as well. But yeah it may not be a bad idea to double check!
  3. Fair enough. CRL says it's okay for nylon on TK, however elastic is "preferred". Idk yet. I'll likely try double/triple folding the elastic and trying again. If not I may have to move to the elastic OR I'll take my first dip into hot water and see if I can't just widen the bells a bit. I do have "big-ish" shoulder comparatively to the rest of my arms.
  4. That's what I was thinking of doing. That or go to nylon. Lol.
  5. I third RS Props having a nice kit. If I had the money I'd have gone with them but I went AP instead whereas I'm in Canada.
  6. You might luck out like I did and they could have your size in stock. Which is why you email them first so they can check for you. Good luck and their boots are amazing by the way. Love mine.
  7. Easy answer; E6000. Everyone will make a mistake and with E6000 that mistake is repairable. Trust me it's well worth the cure time to be able to tear a piece apart to fix something.
  8. Yeah I've been having a tad bit of trouble getting the lengths perfect. If they're too short they pull the shoulder elastic, too long they just don't go up far enough. I'll have to figure something out for them for my EIB/Cent. Thanks man!

  10. Thanks everyone for all your help! TK18815 reporting for duty!
  11. Yeah I plan on grabbing some later on. This is just a temp solution to get me by this weekend.
  12. Hey guys! I have a wiring dilemma. I'm no expert on this stuff so please be kind to my ignorance. I've tried to do as much research as my brain can handle and I THINK I've found the right way to do this. I just thought I'd check first before I destroy my fans or short out something. I drew up this silly stupid diagram so kind of explain what I think needs to be done. ------------ This diagram has the batteries in parallel to use them longer overall. But I thought, wouldn't that just reduce the total power of running two fans? PS: All 4 red wires are soldered together where they cross at the bottom. Okay. So in a nutshell I want to run two 9v batteries to a rocker switch to two 12v fans. The purpose will be to do this twice to have two sets of fans that I can toggle to run 2 or 4. What's the best way to do this to get a good balance between battery life and enough power to keep my lenses defogged. Thanks in advance! -Justin
  13. Yeah. I'm not 501st yet, sending submission photos this weekend, but I take offense to that. I mean I'm not by any means large but who is he to say you can't own a set of armor. Someone PLEASE look into that. That's just not right. I'm pleased that you're hopes are back and I'm very excited for you to finally get you're own set! Nothing is more exciting for a Star Wars fan!
  14. Yeah I'm probably going to add another strategic strap in the shoulder bell to help pull it in.
  15. Nearing a final update if this isn't it. All I have left to do is paint my tube stripes and glue my handguards on. But this is essentially my final product. Hope you like!
  16. Friend of mine uses old pijamas or old clothes too. Cuts them up to wrap his pieces in. So they don't rub and knick each other inside the bin.
  17. Thanks! I did end up going with three. I'll see how the belt looks after attaching my holster to it as well. If I need to add any more so be it!
  18. Fixed both my thighs! Not much left to do now before I send my basic approval photos off
  19. Ooooooooooh. Yay!!! Thank you so much @Darman ! These are AWESOME!
  20. One of my drop boxes opens and closes via Velcro. I'm currently trying to find a plastic card holder to glue inside. Not big enough for my phone but that's no matter.
