  1. Oh, and sorry to spoil the party. Mark....
  2. If it's just marks you might find novus Polish will do the job on its own.
  3. I use 3M sanding pads. They do a fine and super fine. That will take the marks out. Using a circular action. Then I use micro mesh which is a material sand paper and you can start using 2400 then 4000, 8000, and then 12,000 grit with a bit of water. Finish with Novus Polish 1,2 & 3 This is good to polish out scratches too.
  4. Cool process, with attention to accuracy and detail this could be a great cheap fun option. Unfortunately nowhere near 501st acceptable at the mo..... Once you have the pepakura done you can apply body filler to the pieces and really shape them up using lots of photo references.....
  5. Who's to say it was decommissioned in Germany? Is there a deac certificate from Germany with it? I only say that as I've shipped a deac to a guy in Germany before so there must be more from the UK floating around over there. How are they deactivated in Germany? Do they still have all the moving parts over there? I wonder how many different methods there are for deacs?
  6. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Yeah, I've resided to the fact that unless I turn up on his doorstep and confront him face on nothing's going to change. He's not the only one on eBay that's recasting my stuff.
  7. Well, as far as I'm aware you cannot strip a new spec deactivation Sterling as most of it is welded together. The trigger is welded so won't pull. The bolt is welded so won't pull back, the barrel is welded. A new spec is just a good looking ornament at best. Old spec is strippable, dry fires etc. anything 1985 or ealier is old spec. Anything after 85 is new spec.
  8. That's an old spec by the looks of it so Dennis got hold of an absolute bargain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I had the link down twice......all sorted now..... Thanks Mathias!!!
  10. Hi guys, How do I rename a link in my Signature so it just reads what I want it to rather than the link address? Any help would be great..... Tech is not my strong point.... Ask me about ROTJ troopers and I'm all ears....
  11. For ROTJ it will be correct looking at this pic. You can't base anything ANH on this.
  12. A cotton version...I Couldn't find a decent alternative to fire hose until I found this 2.5" Polypro webbing. I'll have loads available if you want to upgrade at any point.
  13. Lol, when I write C O C K it's replaced with weenie.
  14. The old spec ones pre '85 weenie and dry fire and selectors move ect. I can take mine apart, field strip it. Makes it a bit more fun. Obviously the barrel has been blocked and firing pin filed off.
  15. Is it tour armour in the pic I posted? I haven't looked that closely at it it was sent to me the other day. No my material doesn't stand up like in the pic you posted. I meant I had some corlene military belt material that did.
  16. Thanks Paul, I have seen that pic it's a great picture. That looks as rigid as courlene which is used for military belts..... It's almost plastic in it texture.... I have firehose here but cannot get it to lie flat. It still looks very tubular and is black on the inside... At least the white firehose I have is. Cost me £180 for a length of firehose.... I can't imagine they would use such expensive material? Could be wrong. Whereas this one looks more like what I have found....
  17. Well that's a first. No one has found a suitable belt until I posted this. I've just spent $300 on a bulk order of the stuff. Other than firehose this is the closest I've found in all the years ive been looking. 2.5" in white is the hardest width to get for some reason. I had to special order this. Anyway it's what I'll be using on my suits from now on.
  18. Hi guys and gals..... I think I have just managed to find a good belt material for the ROTJ. As we all know this seems to be one of the hardest parts to get on the armour..... Blaster too of course but I am working on that... Here is what I have found.... It's a special order but it is polypro and 2.5" and white! everything a ROTJ trooper needs.... LMK what you all think...
  19. Nice score..... Have fun.... Jewel of my collection to have a real deal Sterling...... I managed to get an old spec that's completely field strippable and dry fires..... cost me a fortune though
  20. Mmmmmmmm........ Sterling L2A3...........mmmmmmmmm............I love mine and the smell........
  21. They did use blank firing sterling E11s from Baptys. So you could be seeing actual bullets.
