Using Anovos kit for Incinerator
yoshix replied to bluefunoodle311's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
He's right, I made mine as well and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, still a pain, but doable. I based mine off the T-21 because I liked how much thinner it is compared to the game. I used a lot of the parts I had lying around so in the end it cost me less than $50. Your build's looking good by the way -
Thanks.I ended up ordering a cheep one from www.stormtrooper-costumes.com and taking it apart and swing in the red. I wanted to order the nice expensive sandtrooper pauldron but I was worried about my ability to sew it back together. You could try contacting some makers but good luck getting a response.

So my goal from the beginning was to wäre this costume to the episode 7 primer, mission accomplished! So far, it was my favorite troop. The fans where so happy and pumped to see us there. It was a great time. Now that it's over and I've finished working on my new costume (the kashyyyk trooper- white variant ) I think I'm going to retire this set of armor. Maybe try to sell it.

Wellcome, and good choice going red! I look forward to seeing your progress

I guess if you want to see you just have to check out my photobucket.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii165/yoshix/20151128_102354-1.jpg

Alright. Now that I've got a few troops behind, I've looked at photos of me stand next to other troopers and compared and analyzed I've come up with a few conclusions. One, that I'm short and skinny "aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper". Standing next to some of the "larger guys" in my garison I look different. At first I thought it was just the red paint. Then I noticed that my spacing was all wrong. So I threw out the idea of trying to match the screen shots for the incinerator trooper and try ed to match the normal TKs. I can't do much about being small but I can try to look right.

So over the last two months or so I've been making some changes including

Cutting down my back plate and centering it.
Adding snaps to my lower arms so they don't sag down.
Adding width and hight to my thys, and rounding off the tops.
Adding to my cod piece
Adding to the bottom of my chest plate, centering, adding a new trim, cutting more off the neck line.
Rearranging the inner snaps to push the ab and chest plate farther up.
Cutting the more off the cap and back to try to make my head look smaller.

I am now happy with the results.
Let's see if I can post some pictures

I found more info on bikerscout.net. like think I've got the answers to the questions I've asked.

I'll make my costume first the contact tthe LMO for approval.

For questions on the CRL, I'll contact "Grumpy"
As he wrote the CRL and has ab approved white kashyyyk scout costume.

Wish me luck!

Ok, so I've decided the Kashyyyk Trooper (white variant) will be my next costume to build. I've got the kashyyyk armor on its way and sound be here Friday. I have about a hundred questions but I'll start from the top.

The CRL states "status undefined" and "This CRL is a work in progress. As such, this costume must be approved by the Legion Membership Officer, via the appropriate section of the Legion forum."

So, should I contact the Legion Mebership Officer before I start modifying my armor?

Should I contact the LMO if I have questions about the CRL as it is incomplete?

Should I even be attempting a costume that it seems no one has done before?

I was hoping to get some answered before I start asking so of my other question

Thanks

I'm really hoping someone like trooperbay will have them for sale soon, that way I can just buy one.

Hello James,
Congrats on deciding to go ICN! I hope you have fun with it.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with T/MC armour so I can't tell you if that's a good choice or not. But I would imagine you can convert almost any armor.

Check out "My Build Tread =O" in the build thread section and please start a build thread of your own as I would love to see your progress and maybe can answer some questions.

Best of luck!

TK-74614 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (AP)[499]
yoshix replied to Teekay YYC's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Great job, Congrats! -
Mt two cents,
They're not worth the money. I've had friends buy from them, I bought one once and was very disappointed. They have great shipping time and probably the cheapest saber on the market, but you get what you pay for.

Highly recommend against!

My only problem with tcss is how spars the information is. Their is just so much information from so many thousands of different ways of doing things it's easy to get lost. Though they do try to simplify it the best they can for you.

You could try Vader's Vault, I'm pretty sure they do that kind of custom work.<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='sitehttp://www.thecustomsabershop.com/

thecustomsabershop.com They have a great selection of parts and if your a MacGyver with a garage full of tools it would be a piece of cake to build a similar saber.Good luck to you

So after comparing my photos side by side with the screen shots photos I decided my spacing was off. I had cut my cod piece to short to fix it by moving my belt and ab plate up. So after much think and I decided to add to the cod, move
After applying the paste, sanding, painting, and applying the weathering it all blended together well and you can't really see the seam.

Then I trimmed a little off the neck on the chest plate. I decided to use the opportunity to get rid of the rubber trim on the bottom that didn't take the paint very well. So I used the heat gun to fold up the existing plastic.
<a class="bbc_url" href="http://s264.photobucket.com/user/yoshix/media/20150816_093952.jpg.html"><imgsrc="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii165/yoshix/20150816_093952.jpg" alt="20150816_093952.jpg">

It was a long slow process and I was st scared I would F it up. But I think it turned out ok.
<a class="bbc_url" href="http://s264.photobucket.com/user/yoshix/media/20150816_100823.jpg.html"><imgsrc="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii165/yoshix/20150816_100823.jpg" alt="20150816_100823.jpg">

This last photo is with paint and changed the snaps around. If you look you can see the the chest plate is cut croked, I don't really notice it so much but maybe some day down the road I'll order a new chest plate. But all in all I'm much happier with
<imgsrc="http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii165/yoshix/20150831_045230.png.jpeg" alt="20150831_045230.png.jpeg">
Sorry for the mirror photo, my wife won't be back from her trip for another month to take better photos.

Yes, it was for stability. Because it's round it would tend to want to turn if you try it free hand just running it along the fence. I don't remember what it's called, but I used a piece of 1/4 inch material that's stronger than cardboard but weaker than plywood so it was stable but still easy to cut through. Thanks
-
Yeah! I got my EIB badge. If anyone wants to check out that thread here it is http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32523-tk-42131-requesting-inc-eib-status-am2493/

I'll post some new pics of some changes I made in 2 weeks or so when I get back from vacation.

TK 42131 requesting INC EIB status [AM2]493]

Thank you! I do think it may be time to rewrite the CRL, there were a few times when I thought it should be worded differently or somethings should be included or expanded on. -

Thank you! It was not easy to get the AM kit to fit my small figure. May parts I was scared I was cutting too much or too little. -
