I made a few changes before my little photo shoot yesterday that made a world of a difference I cut a notch off the arms and cut them into a better more accurate shape. This helped correct the mistakes I made. I also changed the ankles to be as tight as I could get them. You can see the one on the right is before and left is after. This was a big deal for me because it really bothered me how it looked. Now much more accurate. They started to crack a little so I will have to reinforce them eventually and paint again.

Prototype is finished. I'm happy with how it turned out, I just wish I was a better painter. I did some weathering because I'll be using it for the crystal patrol trooper.

The vocoder was the last mold I needed to make. DONE! Everything is painted and weathered. It is less than perfect but I just had to keep telling myself 'the OT helmets are also hand painted and not symmetrical.' Still very proud nonetheless. I'm hoping to get some pictures this weekend of the costume on me. Till then

Here is a side by side comparison next to the Black series. You can see how much more accurate the details are. Still waiting on what I need to finish the vocoder. I'm kind of a perfectionist is I'm not all that happy with my paint job. In the photos it looks okay but when you look up close its a little shabby.

$250, sound like a lot compared to the Black series but trust me, a great deal of work has go into this. I was thinking $200 for the first 5 helmet.

I'd love to start offering these helmets. Unfortunately, if i am going to sell them I need to make some changes to the main mold. So most likely I wouldn't be able to offer them for a few months. If you would like to be the first on my list, let me know. I do have to warn you though, these helmets are smaller than a typical tk. I'll be posting some size comparisons to the Black Series soon.

I'm so close to finishing my helmet. As you can see the bobblehead problem is no more. I just need to finish painting. I'm having a bit of trouble matching the white on my armor but I think after I put a little weathering on it won't be noticeable. The last thing I need to do is make a mold for the vocoder. I'm just waiting for some molding stuff to come in the mail hopefully tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to buttoning this project up.

Hey everybody! Sorry its been so long since I've checked in here. I've got a few challenges to show. I forgot to take pictures of what i cut so i just drew it in red. You can see that the chest plate has the wrong shape to it so i cut it. Also that little bit off the thighs. You can also see in the comparison shot that the hand plates are rounded. Which makes sense, almost everything is rounded to prevent injuries when doing stunts. And last but not least, my bobblehead helmet. I've finished the sculpt for my new helmet and am in the process of molding it now. I really hope it turns out as good as I think it will. More updates when the helmet is finished.

Sculpt is done! Its by no means perfect, but I'm happy with it. Every time I touched it i was changing something and at some point you just have to stop and say "enough is enough". Now I'm starting to make the mold. This is all so new to me and I'm super nervous to ruin what I've been working on for so long.

After looking extensively online for reference photos I stumbled across this. This was from the space port on Corellia. Now, I know there is no CRL for this yet but I would imagine it would be under FISD and not MEPD because he are clean. I'm not going to lie, its pretty boss that he is carrying an E-22.

Hi all! After obsessing overreference photos and comparing my costume I came to two conclusions. One, my Black series helmet makes me look like a bobblehead. And two, it is missing some of the details from the scene used helmets. I know jimmiroquai makes a helmet as well but from what i can tell, it looks like a recast of the Black Series with some small differences. Which doesn't help my size problem. So about seven months ago I decided to start working on my own helmet sculpt. Unfortunately life got in the way more than once and I have had to start and stop this thing several times. Within the last month I have made some good progress and I thought I'd share. Please remember this is still a work in progress and there are still many areas that need to be finalized, so don't look to hard at the vocoder its just temporary. I know I need to clean up the eyes and frown, but I'm very happy with the proportions. --------------- And that last photo is to give you an idea of the size difference compared to my ATA helmet. Today I ordered everything I need to make a mold and start casting. I hope to have a prototype in a month. That may be wishful thinking, we shall see. So, what do you guys think? Please be soft with me, I have a hard time with criticism. I normally don't post unfinished projects.

I'm debating putting my speaker on my belt. I have always looked down on people that do that but it gives you the most control. It's so hard to control feedback and still be loud and in different environments, sometimes ppl taking loud, sometimes your speaker echoing off the walls.

I finished up my pack. I am thinking about dyeing the alice pack to be a little darker though. Just like a Jedi to stab you in the back, pack.

I was hoping to have more movement seeing as everything is separate. But no, it's still very confining. Maybe a hair better than my TK though. Does that answer your question?

A few people have pointed out that the pauldron is inaccurate. I finally got around to fixing it. The conection pieces should be attached underneath and have white material on them.

Got some photos today Looks like the Hot Toys figure right This has been a really long and hard project but I'm happy with how it looks. I think the backpack really exceeded my expectations.
