Really happy with how this turned out!

Pauldron is now red! I'm not the best in sewing but I think it will do just fine. Im just finishing up the painting Next up I'll have some pictures of the bucket

The red paint is a little hard to work with. If you smear it, it wants to stain armor pink. I bought some mineral spirits today, which helps but it'll take more sanding to get the desired effect. I hope with the mat finish spray it will lock it all in. I assume that rubber trim isn't going to want to hold paint at all so I went ahead and primed it hoping for the best

After a few days debating back and forth with myself I decided to cut this off. I really didn't want to but in all the screen shots I looked at it seemed to be more accurate.

I wanted to take some pictures before I painted and weathered. At the point this photo was taken I had about everything put together and sanded the shine off. Please excuse the pulse rifle, I don't have a blaster and I'm not sure if I'm going to order one. I've been looking into building the plasma flamethrower but I'm having trouble tracking down reference photos. I have already trimmed some spots since this was taken and done some painting.

I bought a second helmet for a few reasons. I thought my kit would take forever to get here and I wanted something to start on in the meantime. ATA said he could ship the helmet right away. I wanted to make two different helmets. And or to switch out parts that I liked or didn't like. Or if I F- something up I can replace (which of course ended up happening ) I painted the teeth with primer grey. I thought this would be too dark but it seemed all the alternatives at Home Depot are too light. After a day or so the dark really grow on me and I decided to keep it.

I died the MP40 pouches black. I really shouldn't have done it on the stove because the hot water really destroyed the straps. I'll have to replace then

Ok, so I'm starting a build thread. I wanted to start one a month ago but I've been having problems posting photos on here, my phone takes too large of photos apparently. Any idea where the photo came from? Is it fan made? I as because there are a few differences in the photo compared to all the other reference photos I've seen. For example, I know it's in the CRL that there are 2 shoulder bells but in all the other photos you can only see the one and must assume it under the pauldron. Also the ab plate buttons are much lighter here and she has what looks like two more MP-40 style ammo pouch on her both sides of her belt.

Hey, can somebody help me out? What size rivets are used on the fabric belt on the back side? Are they a different size than ANH for ROTJ? I'm talking about the visible rivets on the back of the belt, some hold the holster. On the CRL it states "The fasteners may be rivets, snaps, or Chicago screws" but what size should the head be?

I'm having a lot of trouble tracking down Testors Mediterranean Blue. I tried several different Google searches with no results. Did they discontinue it? Can someone please point me in the right direction

So Saber forge has a grate replica Starkville lightsaber. Is this acceptable? Also how many Troopers are allowed to carry sabers. Ok, all the Troopers in the force unleashed which are? Sorry I haven't played the game. And, has an INC ever carried a Saber while trooping? Has any trooper ever carried a Saber in public, to a con or something?
