I'll certainly throw my hat in the ring if you haven't found anyone by then

By the way, does anyone know the difference between the Crystal Patrol and the Jedha Patrol, I know one has a soft pack and one has a hard pack but which ones which and why? On the hot toys 1/6 scale figs they both say Jedha patrol but the only difference is one has a TK number Maybe we will see when the CRL is released

So I decided to keep the original conection points so that everything lines up as it was intended to. You can see I used the original lenses and just cut them out, E6000 the new lenses behind the old ones. I like the idea of being able to take out the lenses if I want to and replace them. I also put a piece of foam at the bridge of the nose to help with comfort. I'm pretty sure these helmet mods are only interesting to someone who is or has worked on one of these helmets.

I can see them on my phone and I just checked on my laptop and they show up there as well. I have had costume colors mixed before but $20 a can is a bit much. The white I have is close enough and will do.

I finished up bondoing sanding and painting the back. I'm pretty happy with the paint match but of course it's not a hundred percent. Weight is a very hard color to match as there are so many different shades of white. I drilled holes in the existing hovi mic tips and inserted screens. I wasn't sure if it was going to work but it turned out pretty good. I also replace the screen in the back of the frown and painted the underneath of the brow black. Definitely the hardest part was cutting out the tube stripes. I decided to use a Dremel and file it down. I saw in one build thread a guy had success by heating up an exact -o knife, but when I tried it I wasn't confident enough.

Lol, yeah but his will be my 5th costume in the legion. Definitely Jedha patrol with the hard pack. I already got the antenna done Just waiting for the 3d printed parts to come in

What's up everybody, I've fallen in love with the Rogue One TK. The thing is I already have a Sandy and for me it's a debate of if I really want another Stormtrooper costume or not. I posted a picture on Instagram a little while ago with the hot toys 1/6 figure Rogue one TK side by side with the Sandy and asked which one people like better. With an overwhelming response I got everyone saying OT. I just can't help but go against the mainstream as in my opinion they look so cool! I'm dying to know how much more comfortable it is compared to my Sandy. I haven't ordered the kit yet as I feel that my wife will have a heart attack when she finds out. But soon I'm putting the finishing touches on the Black Series helmet. Hopefully I'll post more pictures soon

sskunky came through. I got the trim in the mail from him today. If anyone is reading this with the same problem, sskunky will help you out. He may be busy but he'll get to you

I just checked Trooperbay and didn't see it anywhere. Could it be out of stock at the moment? Is this something he typically carries as I don't think I've seen it there before. Maybe I should try messaging him directly. Also, sskunky just sent me a message saying he's very busy and he's out of it at the moment but that his suppliers are telling him it should be back in soon.

I need help finding a good source for the white U shape trim.

I messaged sskunky/TrooperMaster as I saw someone else already asked this in another post, but it appears he is too busy at the moment.

I also went her------------------bought the trim and payed $40 on shipping alone and still, nothing. Lost in the mail or never shipped to begin with, who knows.

Long story longer, my first build was an incinerator trooper over 2 years ago. Back then some pointed me to a seller on Ebay, however this seller no longer exists and I'm desperately trying to find a solution.

Help me ROTJ troopers, you're my only hope

Yoshix's T-21 w/ spOOL68's Kit

I finally did it, I went sandy! -
After a year of looking at photos and not understand what I was doing wrong, I think I've finally done it! I used the techniques I learned building my realistic clone to re-shape my armor. I started seeing the project as "what I want to look like" and not "how I think the armor should fit me." Surprisingly, its still me under there, just a little more padded out. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of all the changes that I made along the way as there where many of them. Including but not limited to, new pauldron, smaller helmet, adding to the caffs, re-making the for-arms, adding to the biceps, adding to the neckline, adding and re-shaping the cod, new paint, new weathering, and sooooo on. I see it as I went form looking like a Power Ranger, to looking like a Stormtrooper. Ether everyone was too nice to tell me how bad I looked, or no one noticed. To be honest, I'm not sure how I even got approved. It was my first 501st costume and I had no one around (other than my very loving wife) to help and tell me what not to do and make changes in person. If I had known, I could have reached out to my future squad members for help, I most certainly would have. Maybe I was (or still am) a little nut that thinks I know better and can do everything on my own. It's a little hard for me to post up the comparison photos as it shows just how bad I looked when I thought I look great I still need to grey my drop boxes, and weather my butt and kidney. That's why I don't have any comparison photos of the back. Eventually, I plan to re-make my flamethrower but for the mean time my new T-21 will do.

I'm just now finishing up my spOOL68's T-21 kit and the new changes I've made to my armor, and I couldn't be happier! No worries Plasma, I'm not going to troop with it. But man dose it look cool!

Yoshix's T-21 w/ spOOL68's Kit
yoshix replied to yoshix's topic in MiniMag PTL Missile Launcher, T-21, RT-97C (MG-15)
I hollowed out the stock the best I could to try to bring the weight down, I should have actually done this before I glued the two half's together. Then cut a piece of sign to cover the holes that I will paint black and glue on soon. I bought this for the sling. Right now I have just a 1" strip of nylon for the sling but I think it looks a little cheep, I may end up getting the replica one I found on ebay. Whats putting me off is that I will need to buy two of then to cover the distance and I cant decide if I want tan like in ANH or OD green for $6 less a piece. -

Thanks man! I was a little worried you would hate me. I'll say it again, your kit is awesome! You don't need to make any changes to it to have it look great. You can see how much time and effort and detail spOOL68 put into it. I most certainly recommend this kit to anyone who likes to make stuff. -

Its finally starting to look like a rifle. The rib section in the photo is industrial vac hose that I cut down. No worries, I ended up getting the D shaped rubber from ebay later. starting to shape the wood Spacers to center the front of the barrel. Hard to tell what this is but I cut along the line to make the sight a little smaller. cut the top a little so that if fits together better. I cut the trigger down a little too, just because I can. I put the trigger and decided not to mess around with any springs. For the trigger guard I just used a heat gun to bend a hard strip of plastic then cut groves for it to sit in and glued. I glued and clamped everything down, just to rip it all back up later. So, some things get repeated. front on I got some cool comparison shots of a fellow squad members T-21 just to make sure I was on the right track. I trimmed these down a little and pre-drilled for screws, I don't what them to fall off if I hit them too hard. Found this on ebay, I bought 15 feet and ended up using about 14' I drilled holes to feed into. This is me transferring it over. More later! -
Yoshix's T-21 w/ spOOL68's Kit

I bought a 3.5 inch diameter PVC pipe from Home Depot but it was just too heavy and I kinda wanted to go smaller I found this among my old things I found that if I wrap it with signs it gives me just under 3.5" I think around 3 and quarter. I used E-6000 to attach Luckily I have a wood shop at my disposal, I drew out a ruff image of what I wanted on a piece of black walnut. I routed out a channel for my 1/2" plywood base to fit in. I wanted this thing to be able to break down into three pieces so I glue only the hardwood, not to the ply I cut the end piece to fit in the barrel. I found these PVC connectors at Home Depot, I think its said something like 2.5" but I don't remember. I honestly had a hard time tracking something down to use for the end of the barrel. It was cool because they have this small lip on the inside for the tip to sit on. It was bad because they are the heaviest part of the prop. I did the same a before and covered it with a sign Starting to cut down the barrel adapter More soon! -
First off, let me start out by saying how great spOOL68's kit is, its great! I was about to go out and spend bank on a completed T-21 (that I cant even troop with because I'm not a sandy) before I stumbled on his kit. It saved me a lot of time and moneys. Second, my build is not at all to be the most accurate (as you will see), I build things the way I like and some ppl have a problem with that, but this is for me. Maybe my thread will help someone down the road, who knows. Third, Roger, please don't take my changes as a criticism on your kit. As I mentioned above, I love your kit and I'm a nut kase that dose things my own way. My build is 99% done, so please hold your criticisms to the end. I took a lot of photos so, lets get started! For the most part, this is the kit as it came in I sanded these down to give them a little bit of a sharper look. I cut this apart because its just a little bit to large an heavy for me, I ended up replacing the barrel later. I cut down the top part with a ban saw to make it thinner and litter. Looks a like this More to come shortly

I was still not happy with my Incinerator, so I decided in honor of Rouge One to do a massive overhaul of the hole thing. Almost every piece got re-sized re-worked and re-painted I finally got my new pauldron from Trooperbay and its fantastic. I can finally throw out that old POS one. I think its double the price, but so worth it! If I recall correctly, the reason I didn't go with the Trooper Bay pauldron to begin with was that they didn't offer some may color options back then and I didn't want to buy the expensive one to try to take it apart and not have it work. I should be able to take some photos today of the finished produce. Im very happy with how it looks and am looking forward to posting some photos of the changes.

That's absolutely correct Larry, I should have clarified that above.

If you troop outside of the boundaries of the CRL you could be "disciplined."

That being said, I guess I was just hoping for a little more insight on what people think. Or maybe as to why the CRL is the way it is.

So, first off, this is not me in the photo. I think I found this picture doing a random google search. So mad props to this guy. This thread will simply be me dumping my thoughts online. If you have nothing else to do continue reading and Id love to see your thoughts in the comments. Recently Ive been doing a complete overhall on my incinerator armor for Rogue One, and I thought getting rid of the flame thrower and trading it in for a T-21. I'm really looking forward to building one myself. However, I noticed in the CRL we can carry almost every other blaster except the T-21. Why is that? Sorry for my lack of intel, but do the ICNs in the game use anything other than a flame thrower? When you have the skin in the game, do you use other weapons than a light saber? I think I know most peoples position on this, If you want to troop with a T-21, do it. I noticed in the RO trailer that average stromtroopers are carrying the T-21 which makes me think this is a very normal weapon for a trooper to have. If anything my story can be that my flame thrower ran out of plasma and I picked up one of my fallen comrades weapons. Because the truth is, at the end of the day most people have no idea that the red marking indicate that I'm suppose to carry a flame thrower. How long has it been since The Force Unleashed came out? And how many people that can even tell the difference between the T-21 and flame thrower? You're most likely saying, there's always that one hardcore Star Wars fan that will know, and that's true. What do you guys think? Am I crazy for even wanting to carry one? What would you do?

I love the pauldron. Great job Howard! Totally looking forward to trooping with you in this some day soon!
