The trick with stencils is to seal them with a clear before use. That will stop the colour coat running like yours has.
For the traps and tears I pre marked all mine with a fine tip pen allowing me to be careful with placement the painted over the lines. For the traps I also use masking tape for the top and bottom and used a calliper to space the lines evenly.

Welcome to the FISD, always nice to see more from the UKG.

If you're taller than average it might be worth asking about longer shins (obviosuly measure before ordering). One of the makers mentioned make them, not sure on the other.

Wow, this looks stunning!

Welcome to FISD!

There's a few TFA in the UKG but not many I know of. Probably better off asking over on the UKG site.

I can't post replies or start new topics in the "Newly Approved Members - Sound Off!" sub forum.
Is this by design as I've already got a thread there or is it a mix up with my recently changed forum permissions?

As a general rule, if it's on eBay you dont' want it. There's a few exceptions but not many.
If you're after armour and have that money to spend you can do far better. Get in contact with your local 501st Garrison (http://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php Looks like 2 cover different bit's of Ontario) and speak with them. They will be able to point you towards some great armour makers.
That one looks like a mix of FX and misc other and so probably won't clear.

I clam shell mine too, makes getting it easy but I can swap the straps if needed.

if both sides are functional you can replace the elastic if it gives up or you gain or lose weight. That's a good method mate. But, I don't get why anyone would need / want both sides to be functional.

If you can't get the riveted snaps to work (it isn't easy is it) you can always have the rivets be for show and add a snap plate just behind.

I have no idea where it came from but I was an utter pack rat when I was researching and still am to an extent.

And yes this was the primary reference for size for my 3D files (links below in my sig).

Found it. It's been through the ringer of re-uploading (got jpeg?) and it looks like I upscaled it to try make it a bit more readable at some point.
Dropbox link to save adding to the potato quality (I have plenty of space but I can't promise it will be there forever)

Would be nice if Andy has the original file pre several rounds of jpeg compression somewhere but probably a long shot.

I used a chin strap. I have a big head and can't really pad it as securely as I'd like so a chin strap helps stop it moving about.
My aker is strapped to my chest plate with a strap and poppers but it broke free on my last troop so I need to update this.

I don't know how common, or not, the DP are now but I'd be leaving it be as a part of the history of everything.

Somewhere I have a doc by Andy with measurements on. I'll try find it for you tomorrow.

I think that statement comes from an outsider not actually understanding the situation they are getting into. Same goes for not checking the heritage of the bucks.
The 2-4-1 deal is apparently to clear the stock after the re-casting became clear.

I've started down a rabbit hole...This is going to end expensively isn't it.
Looking at the few images I've found only this Mk2 is build in a sort of hybrid ESB//ROTJ way ie no ear screws. That last detail is interesting as it would mean it would fail at ESB level clearance. Seeing as I now want one of these I'll have to start digging up some more reference images.

I didn't realise when I saw these on FB they had heritage! Is that carbon chaber shot the one it's traced back to?
edit: just relised that was posted by some one else
Have you been able to screen match the origional at all?

I'm going to point you at this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38117-clints-fnarmour-analysis/?hl=%2Bclint+%2Banalysis
Essentially it's a copy of anothers work which is highly frowned upon as it's taking other peoples work.

The Anovos kit can be cleared all the way to centurion if it's put together right and fits you well.
Once your cleared with the Garrison head over to the advanced tactics subforum and see if you can take your kit to the next level.

Welcome to the FISD.
Is there any places that are better than others for shipping? Ie Is main land europe cheaper than the UK etc. If the UK isn't to bad you might have a few options depending on if the sellers will ship to you over seas.
That said your size will probably affect your choice too.
Chris.
