1. There is a lot of discussion of this costume on ACD forums. I recommend you post there.

http://www.armoredcavalry.net

Check out Walt's Trooper Factory on Facebook. He's a vetted seller. Don't buy off of eBay.
  3. Search FB for:
WTF: Walt's Trooper Factory
It's a private group so you'll have to request to join and be approved.

  5. Congrats Jim! It's been fun trooping with you!
  6. I have a WTF AT-AT build in progress. Walt is awesome and WTF customer service is amazing.
  7. The lenses in this one fit perfectly into a Doopy Doos scope:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GIG9COU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  8. I recent bought an AT-AT driver kit from WTF. Great experience, great quality.
  9. The TD panel and end caps (and maybe even the PVC pipe) are normally included when you buy an armor kit.
  10. Jonah, it looks you don't have the inner strapping installed yet. That strapping will help keep the butt plate from bending outwards, as will the belt and holster.
  11. Andrew/Tony,

Thank you guys so much!

I will plan to extend my frown.
  12. Thanks for the suggestion Ben. I tried to make my frown look like the frown I circled in red below:

  17. I was able to successfully take my belt apart, with little/no damage. I found the covers did seem to be glued to the rivet head, and the glue had run a little to the edges of the cover. They were pretty easy to remove. In my post above I included a link to my build on my Garrison site, it contains pictures (Sorry, I use Flickr and cannot figure out how to embed pictures on FISD forums)
  18. I described the process I used on page 2 of my build:--------------
  19. A couple of observations.

1. You'll need to peel the plastic coating away from the edges when sanding.

2. The outer shin pieces, 24 & 27 still have a little return edge at the ankle that needs to be removed even after you trim using the Anovos guide line.
  20. A big thanks to you ukswrath, I'm checking your build thread for updates multiple times a day!

This is my first build. I've got my kit all cut out, and since I'm "ahead" of you (lol) I figure the next step was some cleanup sanding.

I'm curious if people have had any issues with the plastic covering while sanding? I did some sanding work on the edges using a dremel and I'm finding that the plastic covering gets all chewed up so you really can't tell how your doing. Is this just me? I'm thinking that covering is gonna have to come off for the sanding process.

Also, I'd love some tips on a proper sanding process to use. What grits of sandpaper, etc.

Thanks in advance.
