  1. I dress up every year and walk the houses with my kids. This year is either stormtrooper or my WIP Vader. It may be worth it to get in a few miles on the new costume.
  2. Well done! Great to have another North Texas Centurion.
  3. Congrats and best of luck. I know you'll both do a great job! Busy times ahead for sure.....
  4. Thank you for your service to the detachment, Steve. I appreciate all your help and guidance along the way. Without your sage advice, I probably would not have continued on to Centurion. Best of luck!!
  5. I've got a big head too. I found that playing around with the padding helps. That can adjust where the helmet sits front to back. By pushing it forward a bit, I found a lot of room. I still have to put it on sideways and twist, that's pretty common.
  6. Good to see you on the white side of things! I look forward to seeing the North Texas TFA TKs.
  7. I'll pile on the notion of being a handler first. That will help you understand the environment without the extra burden of the armor. The only other thing not covered in the other posts is to be ready to have your picture taken. A lot. At a larger event, you will probably need your handler's help to get through the crowd if there are time-sensitive portions of the day. Also, look at some pictures from previous events and see what poses work well. Figure out what to do with your hands and blaster in advance and you won't have to fumble around during picture time. Have fun!
  8. I also have three of the military pads and a good old helmet donut on the top. It works well with my big head because I can move them around if needed and they all come out for washing.
  9. Congrats! Best wishes for you in the new role. When is the party?
  10. Looks good. Will you be EIB #500???

  12. Congrats! Glad to see another tall trooper in the ranks!
  13. Wow- beautiful armor and great photography! My only feedback would be to twist your right shin a little. That will help it line up with the thigh better.
  14. I think he's been on vacation and getting caught back up.
  15. Looks great! The untrimmed top armor is kind of cool, it has a nice flow. My only recommendation would be to rotate the shoulders forward a little. That would make an even gap in the front and back.
  16. Looks great! I love the blaster detail. The extra work on the scope really pays off.
  17. I can't comment on the ATA/AP differences. I do recommend if you want EIB or Centurion that you start your build with that in mind. It's far easier to incorporate those requirements up front than to try to upgrade a finished build.
  18. There's an ongoing run: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19803-fs-white-canvas-belts/
  19. Also look up Robert (tkittell) here on FISD. His belts are on a lot of troopers out there.
