In my opinion the scale is a little off. The top part of the box I think the borders need to be a little slimmer and the bottom should have a little more "space" inside the borders. Here is a screenshot for reference: All that being said, its probably still passable. Again these are just my opinions and all that really matters is your GML. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

I have only been here a year but this is definitely the most engaging detachment out there. Everyone seems to grab on to the troopers helping troopers creed. Everyone keep up the good work. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

I used 7 of the bumps in the middle. I tried to give it a water bath but it didn't work so I used a heat gun to bend it to the contour of the tube. I will see if I can find a picture of mine. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
Good luck! You got some great advice already. Love seeing more HWT. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

That is part of a TK shoulder strap. -
I don't know if there is a "best". I think most people just picked stuff from everything they saw. Here is mine, I used things from multiple builds: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?/topic/37015-Allan1313's-HWT-build Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Thanks! Haha don't go doing that. Thanks. Its a rolling pin from a play doh set. Its just slightly longer than the width of my hand. I can get an exact measurement when I return from vacation. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -

Allan1313's poor man's DLT-19 build
allan1313 replied to allan1313's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
OK I have been away for awhile. I have completed about 98% of my DLT-19. I just haven't done the front sight, but I wanted to finish it to go along with my HWT. So here goes my update from the last time.... Here is the "box" and "ammo slot" on the left side of the gun. I used glue and "green" stuff epoxy to attach them. I then used some bondo to to fill and smooth the holes. Next I did some test fitting with the rear sight holder with the gun and barrel. The movable rear sight was a little short so it would tilt too far back. Added some milliput to correct that. I repurposed my girl's play doh toy for the charging handle. Next I attached the bi-pod with glue and milliput. I used some milliput to make the "rings" on the barrel near the sight holder. Along the way I added a few greeblies here and there. I then painted it in sections. I did the barrel and the rest of the gun separate. I did this because of the inner barrel. I did 3 stage painting, primer, silver, and flat black. I did this for a natural weathering look when some black paint rubs off. I wanted to keep the inner barrel out so it didn't get the other paints on it. I then put the inner barrel in and finished the assembly. I used glue and epoxy to put the 2 halves together. I then painted it all up. Here is the end result. I am pretty happy with the effort and think its about 80-80% accurate. I will also finish up the front sight. 1 last picture.... Thanks for looking! Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
I have seen this first hand. Gets the job done and is easy up and easy down. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
