oops soz Tom R - wasnt ignoring you, didnt see your post Naz is right though - the brow is something that is variable. In fact the brow lift is not one of the 'required mods' for clearance I just didnt like how low my was sitting, but u are certainly welcome to keep it as is w/o any penalty

cheers man - nice info pming u some info if its ok the tracking numbers from all countries I've bought stuff from has always been reciprocal tracking with the local courier in UK (ie parcel force) its now well over 6 weeks since it was posted, all I can do is sit it out though

hey guys I have a private arrangement with a guy in the Canadian Garrison. Got the tracking number. Canada post website says item has left Canada 02/12/2008 nothing yet checked with local courier in UK and UK customs- nothign arrived with that tracking number. Canada Post was very unhelpful over phone, and they dont entertain emails. my canadian contact is not contactable at the moment - but like I said, I am sure its all done and dusted from his point of view (ie item collected, went to central sorting in Canada and got shipped) wot am I to do? Is patience all that is needed as I heard that Canada Post can be a little slow at times. to UK guys and BSNers - its the same thread, just wanting more advice or local help pls. Thanks.

solve ur problem - do wot TK9135 did, get em all!!! you know u will in the end, stop avoiding it. I had a FX, MR and now a AP. I am building myself up to the ultimate TE2 or CAP experience (prob both) I am actually scared of using my AP cos of its cost; and like I said - I like the MRCE. other thing is, my props get a far bit of handling (ie not on official 501 buisness etc); and feel a lot better letting people muck abt with my MRCE than my AP. of course - another point is; MRCE despite its draw backs - can be used to apply for Elite status too (after modding of course)

hey johnny - MRCE hole is definately bigger than the APs I can fit the MRCE direct w/o any twisting and turning. only problem is its a very symmetrical lid - personally i like it, but lots of stalwarts dont. my AP requires a full 90 degree twist to get it on my melon TE2 would be the bees knees tbh - gorgeous lid

I got me an AP and a big head - 59cm. cant fit it on with my glasses in fact I cant even get my glasses into my MRCE - I have a odd all round head - like a watermelon. I would love a TE2 not tried a TM remember that these more accurate lids will require the patented trooper screw top insertion other thing to consider - AP is ABS, TE2 is HIPS. TM is now is ABS - I think; sure TM owners or paul will chime in on that one

its all down to pro/cons doesnt it, and wot u want to do with the armour HIPS is less durable than ABS, but holds sharper details unlike Paul - I wouldnt play football in my TK armour - HIPS or ABS wouldnt matter ;P there are people who are more active during a troop, do walkathons, etc or u can just be the mean 'bah - hum-bug' kinda TK who just menaces the kids Nate

found a good way round it - turn the lid 90 degrees; so the front is over my ears, mange to get it on comfortably, and rotate it back in the correct direction. Nate

yes. yes. thats sounds like canada post. I have an item that left canada on 2 Dec 2008. its obviously still in the sky - cos thats it, tracking says its left, no sight of arrival. Worlds longest flight. xmas must be madness in US as well - 2 items have now gone missing with vendors tryin to trace items down. worse still - had some items shipped to UK, too 2 weeks to arrive, then customs sat on it for 6 more days! rofl thanks guys its kinda consistent with the story I got with the lid possibly slightly modded GF mold, before AP was offering kits per se - ie may be early AP or late GF, that murky time in TK history. Man I love this hobby! well - I paid a AP kit price for it - which I thought was a fair enough. quite happy with quality, look tbh. Nate

right time for some piccies and opinions --------- obviously needs a few modes - darker lens, accurate hovi mikes, frown mesh but this is more or less gonna be my collector lid oh the other thing - never realised how small these SA lids are. they look big, but the hole to stick ur noggin in aint huge is it? I turn the lid 90 degree, slip it in and turn it the right way round. cheers for input guys Nate

hey guys - wantin to know if some people here can help explain some TK history to me. from wot I gather GF is the origins of wot AP armor is now. And GF came off original armour. I have been having some discussions with SuperTrooper and a TK aquintance abt the origins of wot he calls a GF ABS-80 lid which he bought from a guy in NY now, this isnt gonna be for troopin, but like all of u guys warned me, I am gettin into collectin the helmets from history now (yeesh) this is wot this acquitancde has told abt the lid: made by GF, but during period where he wasnt officially makin em, and prior to acquisition of molds by AP (guess it WAS a murky time in that perior). Told it was GF ABS80. No signature inside. by lookin at it - it looks... different to an AP to my newb eye (will post pics if I can get permission) I know that AP made a few early pulls of a GF lid (ta for info Terrell); and was thinkin - it is more likely to be just an early AP pull isnt it? (btw Supertroop did say he saw it on offer on RPF as well) for the moment - just wanting a history lesson for my own knowledge; not a poll on yes/no to buy or where to get a nice lid etc. thanks Nate
