  1. Hahahaha! Yeah looking at them makes me think of the 501st as seen on screen/clone wars animated. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. The belt So far still need to glue everything down and work out the holster attachment. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  3. A little more done. Forearms, biceps and shoulder bells sized, trimmed and sanded, ready for gluing. I think anyways. Most of the back, kidney, butt are trimmed and sanded. Still have the legs to go. Also started the belt, but realized I have no mounting hardware for the holster so went went to ANOVOS and talked about that waiting to see what happens there. 4. Thanks Dan and Tony. Though the link wouldn't open in tapatalk for me I just copied into my browser. Thanks for the link Dan. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. Hey all, would it be possible to get a link to the photo reference gallery? I can't seem to remember where to find it. Thanks. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah that's where I'm at for now rough trim and sizing. I did trim the wrist return upon initial rough trim though. I also trim the outer elbow return edge down a little more, it was close to 7mm in some spots. Watched panda props videos again and noticed he says 3mm is what he does and I may go that route, but not sure yet. I'm sort of reluctant to start sanding yet, mostly because if I sand and then realize I need to trim more I don't want to have to sand a second time.
  7. The inner elbow didn't seem to bother me as much as the outer did. So I may just leave that and trim the outer down. However we'll see as I get further. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for clarifying Tony. I'm not big roughly 5'10" 175 ish. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. That is precisely where I've started. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. Yeah I have watched his videos as well, but I'll go back to them again. Thanks. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  11. Hahahaha! It's alright I got what you were getting at. I know a lot more of the elbow needs to come off and the wrist needs to be evened out as it has a slight curve to it. The outer elbow is way to much for me as it is now. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  12. So I want to remove all of the wrist and inner elbow return edge and what, 2 or 3 5mm on the outer elbow? Did I read that correctly? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks yeah that is about how it fits and with the elbow yeah it will be just for more comfort. Good to know I didn't completely fudge it, but I'm overly critical of myself. Thanks for the confidence boost. That is my biggest concern. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. So started fitting and hoping I didn't mess it up and got it right. It isn't real pretty but it fits and I'll moist likely be trimming the return edge down more. It has a little bite to it, but it hasn't been sanded or anything yet. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah I'm hoping to get mine done in time for Solo premier. Hoping. I hear ya on the fitting part, I'm just starting on that and it seems daunting, "Like do I trim evenly from all edges or just one side?" Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  16. The face looks fine and the back is as it should be. It has been said they used the "Move along" bucket so if that's the case the bucket is fine.
  17. Thanks the feedback is great, but I'm also happy for the critical too because it only helps, it's nice to see that so far so good. So far I like the interior I'm using the large and two small pads and it fits pretty good almost a little to snug. However I'm glad I trimmed off my mop of hair I can't imagine how it would be with that still.
  18. Thanks. That first was a pure fluke that I was up late doing it. I'm pretty happy with it so far. Now to move on to fitting and final trimming and sanding. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks, yeah I was expecting it to take longer, but loving it so far. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  20. So finished off my rough trimming using the snap and score method, I have blisters by the way, after a late night first session last night and most of the day today. But I finished that off and I trimmed the hand plates down to a 5mm thickness, forgot pictures though. Everywhere else is just at the ANOVOS line until I start fitting it, possibly tomorrow? Not sure yet. It went faster than I thought it would though, the shins were rough cutting. The bucket thankfully fits me and I only needed three of pads. I'll need to touch up the frown and possibly the right ear other than that its good. Even the solid strip of visor isn't bad and is off my nose. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  21. Coming along and looking good. Yeah Mike TK 1636 is a great resource for lots of stuff. Making bra hooks, brackets and how to navigate through kits. He's been my greatest resource so far as the building goes. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  22. Hahaha! Yeah plan on getting in touch with Joseph for some of his when the time comes. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. I will eventually, but I plan on building it to centurion. I'll just have to wait to apply for it. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. So rough trimming of the arms and legs. One question I have is when I go back to hand plates how much return edge should I leave on them? I was thinking maybe 3 mil? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  25. It's officially late for me. Though managed to rough trim a shoulder bell and part of the biceps. I'm calling it a night. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
