  1. Picked up some ca glue and started the repair work on the thigh. Have some abs paste started and hopefully will get them done this coming week/weekend. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks D'Angelo, I'm rooting for centurion and hopefully I make that though bra hooks and brackets aren't required for it. Just challenging myself to do it. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  3. Oh and sitting in a TK kit is out the window, no such thing. LOL! Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah once you get the thighs and shins on together you'll find your movement quite restricted. Still working on my first build as well, but I've test fit them both and walked around with them. I now understand why people say stairs and armor don't mix. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. Once you have everything on you'll never bend that much. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. Looks pretty good to me. This is mine. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  7. So I decided to get back to the hard stuff. Shortened the thigh front cover strip. Dry fitting the repair area. Thinking I'll ca glue it to a improvised inner strip and then re-trim it after, but not sure if that's the right way to go. It makes sense to me for support and reinforcing. Also clipped down some scrap for abs paste. Then decided to put together my bra hooks and straps for the shin closure. I'm also working out how to get the rear cover strip flush. 8. Real quick addition to the neck seal, does it matter what the material is for the bib/dicky part? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. And that's the neck seal sorted no us the bib section. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. Again congrats on your BBB and welcome to the CCG. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  11. Decided to take a break from the armor while I figure the best way to tackle the thigh issue. So went to work on my neck seal, third attempt and with some pointers and tips from SoulArt/Teresa It's like a hot knife and butter. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  12. Correct. I just need to cover the second seam at the very top and very bottom. The cover strip will cover most of it, but the strip appears to be a tad long, like 1 or 2mm. So not sure if I should leave that or pull it and trim it down. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. The first one is where I need to fill the gap. The thinner piece is the piece I initially trimmed. The second is the front cover strip it just seems a bit long. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah when I get home I can pull it out and show where I'm at. I was lucky to keep all my scraps and just happened to find the piece I trimmed off of that section.
  15. So will need to completely deconstruct the thigh. However I have what I need to fix the issue. Question: How should I make the paste? Thicker or thinner?
  16. So I will most likely be adding a full length strip luck has it that I believe I found the trimmed off pieces making it much easier. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  17. So should I just a piece at the bottom or add a strip full length? Pretty sure I could find a scrap piece for an inner strip. Because I still have the issue of the ridge sitting under the cover strip like this. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  18. So I am apparently the master of over trimming. Just realized that the front inner left thigh is trimmed at 7-8mm instead of 10mm. I also have a bit of a gap at the bottom and I think somehow I cut my cover strip a bit long. :'( Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  19. This was my first attempt I think. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah between Pandatroopers tutorial and talking with SoulArt she gave me some tips so I'm much more confident about it. I did a couple of test runs, but they didn't end well. I'll have to pull up a picture of one, perhaps get some feedback on it. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks Tony. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks! Having a hard time with my sewing machine though. This is not boding well for when I get to my neck seal as I'll be making my own. Thread keeps bunching up on the bottom. Very frustrating. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. Brackets and strapping done, I think I may need to redo a couple of them they feel a little loose. Testing the fit soon and then to work out the shoulder straps and fitting. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. Re-gluing the thigh, added the snap plate to the chest for the shoulder strap, started the strapping and finished off the belt and TD. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  25. Woke up late so no gluing today.
