  1. So I was looking at this and wondering if I need to trim this even or leave it as is? I'm guessing it should be trimmed but just not sure. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. Rivet issue solved. Cut them with wire cutters and then covered them using the material I have for my neck seal. Also did the thigh garter straps. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  3. Working on the TD and found a use for the Anovos supplied white velcro. LOL! Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. So for the time being I think the limbs are good, minus the forearm reshaping. I think next up is fitting the main body pieces. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. Yeah there's just the slightest bit of overlapping at the calf and ankle. However I have to struggle a bit to get the ankle to close around the ankle. So if I do the bra hooks on the shins would this be fine or do I want to trim that small bit off? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. Testing the thighs and shins. There really isn't a whole lot of wiggle room. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  7. So I think the shins will be good with either no trimming or minimal trimming. Not sure yet, I do know that the upper knee section needs none. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah I figured I would have to do something for reinforcing, Daryl said this early and well it's not good to argue with one of the people that says you're good or hey fix this and it good. The thigh is indeed measures at 10mm top to bottom, triple and quadruple checked. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. So preparing to trim the front of the thighs, but not sure if I've got my lines straight. Does this look right? Also do you think I've got enough room for the brackets? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. So came across the the cause of my forearm issue. It's a stupid mistake, but not unfixable. Was double checking my biceps and decided to run numbers on the forearms again and found that the right one, being my issue, is 3/16th's / 10mm smaller. However if I heat it and reshape it it will be good. Unfortunate, but not irreversible. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  11. It is nice and I think my trimming will be minimal for the shins as well. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  12. So did the test fit on the thighs real quick yesterday. Knowing the bottom should be mid knee was a relief to hear. Glad I won't need to trim them for height. I also realized they are almost a perfect fit at the top, pre-trimming the 20mm cover strips. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. Here. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/80-anh-build-threads/
  14. I will be trimming down the return edge a bit more though. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah I plan on listening to one of our garrisons GML's, especially one that's also a TK. LOL! No I was always too tired and know the traffic wasn't going to get any better if I put off going home. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  16. Yay and congrats on your BBB day. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  17. Yup, my ex-wife did all their vehicle lease deliveries and I did some construction right down the road from the ranch.
  18. Had to look where you were and yeah I understand your plight. Live in the Bay area for a couple of years. Was at Ghirardelli square the first time I ever saw a set of armor and that was back in the mid-late 90's. Believe it was a RS kit along with a Vader at the Sharper Image that was there.
  19. Good to know thanks Tony. Yeah here in the PacNW we're hovering around the average 40° mark.
  20. I also reminded myself that my thighs are still just rough trimmed and I still need to trim the front 10mm for the cover strips. So I think most likely I will have to do very little to the rear thigh so far as trimming goes for sizing. Edited for clarity.
  21. Patience I have in spades, experience is a whole other story. You are most welcome Sir for you deserve it. You do some amazing builds.
  22. And this is why you're the master Tony. Yeah I'm not sure why it is that Daryl and I have had the issue. It could be the return edge maybe?
  23. Also when you mount your brackets just put a dab of E6000 over the screws. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah I'm 5'10" and I figured I wouldn't need to. I'm happy to mostly fit the physical requirements. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  25. So here's my thigh so far as I can tell it fits well. Actually other than trimming some of the return edge at the hip it fits well. My big concern was the length. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
