  1. This is the Anovos bucket. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  2. Pretty sure that fairly normal on some kits. Not sure about this one though. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  3. Also Walt does full armor sets not just helmets. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. If it is too far gone for a clean TK, consider using it for a zombie trooper. They are both just for fun and approvable. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. Its pretty hefty unlike the foam and 3D print versions. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. Zombie trooper for a big win. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  7. I don't know that you would want to sand it. Depending on the paint used, you could grab a towel and some mineral spirits and give it a run down. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. Looking good Troy. Good luck with your approval. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. Good choice on the E-6000. Lots of play time and pretty easy clean up. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  10. Always give a bit of a sanding. It gives the glue something to grab and makes for a better hold. It doesn't matter if you use R-6000 or CA glue sanding promotes adhesion. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks Glen. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  12. Actually it just dawned on me she may not have attached the belt. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks Joseph the cod was separated as she is a little short for a trooper, but I did line it up with the original groove. It may just be The angle of the photo. The foam was her choice and has decided she doesn't like it. That ab and kidney connection I think can be solved by adding a bit of foam to fill out the space a little. 14. So big jump forward. All done and delivered. I'm mostly happy with it but it bugs me that the kidney and ab on the right side seems out of alignment. But I wasn't there for this. The only complaint she has is that she wants to add straps to the forearm to bicep, as we initial wanted to go with foam. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. Looking awesome Troy! Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  16. Hey Caleb yeah one size up.
  17. Congratulations on your approval! Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  18. Big update here. I ended up actually moving forward with the bucket and now I just need to mount the lenses and electronics. Then I got started by adding my rivets and snaps. So did my an buttons with .ca and got some frosting but it isn't too bad and I should be able to clean it up. Also need to do paint matching as I needed a replacement thigh ammo pack and the color was more orange than red. The color match isn't bad. The belt is a bit orange, the TD is the base color of the rest of the kit and the square is the match paint. Well that is about that for now.
  19. On another note they are just right for just about every hole you need to make on the armor. The exception being the helmet, those are slightly smaller then the rest. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  20. You can pick them up relatively cheap. Not sure what area you're in, but I picked mine up at harbor freight for about $10. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  21. Hey Martin yes to everything Glen said. However anything on Spec-Ops detachment that is TK based they will refer you back here to FISD. I'm in the middle of building a EU magma trooper and they are there as well. So far as the short trooper there are several threads here to help you along check out cricket and Sha Sha Chu build threads. There are others those are the ones that come to mind though.
  22. I use a soldering gun, but still double over. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. I've most.y used braided and had no issues. I'm in the midst of a build now that is using the industrial stuff pretty decent stuff. My next build I will be using nylon webbing mostly. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. So I've started gluing the basic stuff like the biceps and forearms. Now time to let the E-6000 to cure and I can put in some work on the magma kit. Also had a bit of a freak accident with my belt sander where one of the forearms got pulled and wedged between the belt and wheel. So paste and sanding to fix that and a spot of paint and you'll never know it happened.
  25. So the standard sizing is about complete. Now to move forward on marking out the modifications that will be needed. I'll shorten the shoulder tabs and trim some off the bottom of the chest. I will also be separating the cod to shorten it as well. The kidney I will just reshape a bit and use foam to make up any extra space. The back and butt plate will be left as is for now. Then of course some heat shaping is gonna happen on the forearms and thighs. I'll be using TrooperMasters suggestions for the thigh trimming as well. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
