  1. 28 years as an RAF Aircraft Engineer (Avionics) done a variety or roles in my time; various helicopter types, software programming duties, Electronic Warfare systems and instructing duties. Don't tend to get my hands on the hardware anymore, more shuffling emails and paper miss getting stuck in and getting my hands dirty.
  2. Lol fantastic my sides are hurting
  3. PM him here or contact him via Facebook he has a Troopermaster page.

E11 magazine from Gazmosis - great detailing. Doopydoos finishing kit from Tino - a great kit which saves hours trying to find all these individual bits and pieces and a bargain not having to buy 20 cap bolts only to use 3 etc. Doopydoos is due to be delivered this week so excited to finally get the chance to get hands on and try my hand at building/modding it. I've also decided on getting a real counter and scope through the forums here. Has anyone tried engraving and colouring on the M38 lens? Not that I'd do the engraving myself, thought I'd ask my local specsavers
  6. Never tried this on ABS but an old trick for removing errant permanent marker from a whiteboard is to go over it with a drywipe marker always seems to work without taking the shine off the whiteboard which spirits would remove.
  7. I got these a few weeks back that seem ok, yet to do my first troop though: --------------
  8. can't wait to see this develop
  9. Wish I'd found this thread before starting my own boots! I had to learn the hard way about scoring the dye from the masking tape before peeling it off the soles fortunately the damage and recovery work was minimal. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Es9VmicMbCA
  10. Doopydoos E11 kits are on sale now. Edit: and now out of stock again.
  11. Damn twitches!! Just noticed the topic says Stunk not Stunt grrrr I hope my TK doesn't end up stinking from this lol

E11 Blaster Mods: On order from Gazmosis (FISD) - Accurate Magazine Helmet Fans: Undecided Helmet Audio: Undecided Balaclava: Undecided I couldn't believe the Bodysuit Top and Bottoms were XL it looks like they'd have been snug on a malnutritioned leprechaun!! Who knew they could stretch so much I also got my boots a few days back and set about painting them: Should have really asked before I set about painting but are these boots considered acceptable:
  13. Not used that but I'm currently using Tarrago Shoe Dye about 5 coats in and looking ok but a few more coats to go. Having big feet I bought 2 bottles to be on the safe side
  14. I'd appreciate the thoughts of the more experienced on this: ebay Does it appear authentic and is it decent? Thanks Steve
  15. Ahh thanks Locitus, he's obviously a very popular guy
  16. Thanks guys, tried to PM TrooperMaster but doesn't accept PMs. Guess I'll haunt the Sales thread, the build party idea sounds good too. Thanks all.
  17. Yeah I had been through the where to find armour parts thread, TM sounded the best kind of fit (and uk based) but it goes on to mention it can be trickier to assemble, so was after some guidance on how tricky this is or would RT-Mod or anther set be better considering my motor limitations? Obviously any non uk set will incur greater shipping costs, but possibly less chance of screwing it up if easier in assembly.
  18. Hi guys Hopefully you can give me some advice and save me burning my cash. I am looking at making my first ANH trooper set, this will take a fair bit of time as and when cash allows, however.... I am a UK military aircraft engineer of many many years service (far too many) but unfortunately I suffered some nerve damage and therefore lost some fine motor skills in my hands and therefore the hands don't necessarily do what the old noggin tells them to. Additionally I'm not the smallest of people being 6ft 2" and 235 lbs. So after a bit of rambling onto my questions: What kits would you recommend for me to start with as my first set that is a bit more forgiving but that would fit my frame? My ultimate ambition is to have a full 501st worthy set but I'd rather not go through 15 kits as I twitch and butcher them 1 by 1 lol Many thanks for any pointers.
