  1. Sleeping is overrated, haha. Just kidding.. I wake up at 3 every morning whether I like it or not. (Kinda' stinks when I am on vacation, though).
  2. Definitely not rubbing alcohol, (unless you mix it with grape juice... mmmmm. LOL) JUST KIDDING! Agreed about the armor parties. Razor knives and Rolling Rock beer. Not a good combo.
  3. Done.. (Gotta choose the "Boss", of course, LOL)
  4. This is the least expensive I have found them, John. eBay
  5. I received this email from the GGG, and thought it should be shared: (With the author's permission, I have edited it for content) Yes, we are all adults, and many of us are of drinking age, but due to safety, liability, and Disney/LFL preferences, it is important that we discuss alcohol and trooping. Consuming alcohol before or during a troop invites many unneeded problems. Doing this creates the risk of the effects getting more intense as heat builds up inside a member’s bucket, (especially outdoors in the sun) which can cause you pass out or become suddenly WAY more inebriated than you thought you were. It is also a bad idea for a multitude of other reasons. A tipsy trooper can easily damage the host’s location or equipment, make poor judgments about behavior, or otherwise reflect poorly on the Legion and create a situation where the Garrison is liable for damage. Additionally, if a tipsy trooper gets into a car accident after the troop, the host can be held legally liable for serving or selling that trooper alcohol, and the last thing we need is “I invited the 501st and they cost me 7.5 million dollars in legal fees and fines.” Not good PR, to say the least. Also, due to our relationship with Disney/LFL and our mission as a Legion, we have a responsibility to portray our characters appropriately when we are in public or posing for photos that can be released to the public (which nowadays is all photos, especially with FB, instagram, etc.), and Troopers with drinks in their hands are very much against that respectful character portrayal that Disney/LFL trusts us to embody and safeguard, so do not allow your STAR WARS character to be photographed pretending to drink alcohol (or even holding a drink) while at a troop.”. The "Mouse" and LFL have lots of eyes out there. Trust me. To be clear, we are not saying that drinking is discouraged, forbidden, or even bad, just a friendly reminder that alcohol and armor don’t mix. It's not worth getting suspended and/or removed from the Legion, so wait until after the troop and you are out of armor before you begin celebrating. . . and please make safe decisions, because we want to see you at the next troop! A big THANKS to Jon Nagel, Kyle Beagle and Diana Torres
  6. I told ya' so, Dave, LOL. (Good things come to those who wait)!! Congrats, sir, on a job well done!
  7. Congratulations to Michael (Addertime, TK 11427 German Garrison) who won a new set of white silicone ANH hand guards for his winning entry in the recent Photo Caption contest!! Here is his winning entry "Commence primary ignition" There were 38 entries, and his received the most votes from the Staff and Extended Staff (Imperial Attaches). A big THANKS to all who entered.. you gave us some fantastic (and hilarious) captions, and I appreciate all the participation!
  8. I had nothing but great service from AM...... until I tried to order replacement parts. Week after week multiple emails went unanswered. I know that he pulls his kits all at one time, which is probably why it is difficult to get replacements.
  9. I ordered a separate back plate from ATA. This way, when I get the space pack I can pretty much permanently affix it to the plate and switch it out easily as needed.
  10. Looks as if this one is the only one available right now: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/39247-t-21-blaster-run/ I'm not sure what the regulations are about mailing replica weapons is to Ireland, but you can also order the resin parts here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/41058-spool68s-t21-resin-parts-kits-for-sale/and have someone build it for you.
  11. You shouldn't have to repaint the white ABS, Ben. If there is a lot of overspray on the gray, you can remove it with a latex paint remover like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Krud-Kutter-32-fl-oz-Spray-Multi-Surface-Paint-Remover/999947602 which is available at Lowe's. To repaint the gray parts, you can use Humbrol # 5 or Testors # 1138 , which you can find at any hobby store.
  12. Welcome to the FISD, Ayaz! Unless it is an ethical issue, I would suggest going with leather. Man-made materials will not accept dye but instead will need to be painted, but I believe there are a few tutorials on here for that. Leather also "breathes", and can expand to fit your foot. If it is an ethical issue, finding a holster may prove difficult, but I am sure there are materials that can be used that will work and there are also templates available You may have to have it custom-made, though. Best of luck to you on your white armor journey, and we are always available for questions!
  13. Getting one for under $300. may be a bit of a stretch. I don't think Hyperfirm makes them any longer, (I got the last one), but if you find a used one be prepared to pay around $500.00 or more. Where did you find one for $369.00? Seems like a great deal!!
  14. CLOSED! Winner will be announced on Sunday, May 7th. Thanks!
  15. It is a bit on the thin side, but I took a set to Centurion. Ditch the Velcro strapping that is included (go for snaps) and change the canvas belt and you should be good to go.
  16. Do you mean to a HWT pack? If so, this is what I did and it has worked out quite well. I attached a short section of nylon to the existing pack strap using CA (super) glue, along with 2 snaps. You can run the small strap through either the top or bottom strap on the ammo pack, whichever works best.
  17. Those lines look incredible, Michael! One hint that may help you go with Michael's method, Alberto. After masking off the areas to be painted black, paint them very lightly with the gray first and let it dry for a few minutes, then use the black paint. This will seal the edges of the tape so you don't get any "bleed through".
  18. I almost forgot!! http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/8020-centurion.png
  19. "Think getting Centurion is the end? Nope! There is always room to improve and I'm not satisfied yet." Wow, now THAT'S the spirit!!!! Glad to part of the "pit crew", and a huge congrats to you!!!
  20. I think you missed your calling, Glen,
  21. GREAT job, Jim! The only thing that jumps out me is the alignment of the drop boxes. The outside edges should be lined up with the outside edge of the belt, (an easy fix). Fantastic job on those ab/kidney, kidney/back and kidney/butt connections! See you at Centurion soon!
  22. Awesome job, folks. Keep em' coming!
  23. Phenomenal job, Brian. A textbook build and easy pass for EIB!
  24. WAY TO GO, Shane! Congrats, brother, and welcome to level 3!!
