  1. "Think getting Centurion is the end? Nope! There is always room to improve and I'm not satisfied yet." Wow, now THAT'S the spirit!!!! Glad to part of the "pit crew", and a huge congrats to you!!!
  2. I think you missed your calling, Glen,
  3. FINALLY, pictures I can downoad! Thanks, Brian!!
  4. GREAT job, Jim! The only thing that jumps out me is the alignment of the drop boxes. The outside edges should be lined up with the outside edge of the belt, (an easy fix). Fantastic job on those ab/kidney, kidney/back and kidney/butt connections! See you at Centurion soon!
  5. Awesome job, folks. Keep em' coming!
  6. WAY TO GO, Shane! Congrats, brother, and welcome to level 3!!
  7. I have been literally laughing out loud at all these responses.. dang near soiled myself!
  8. OK, Troopers... I was completely bored and I ran across some funny photos of Stormtroopers. Yes, they are action figures, and yes, it contains 2 trademarked items, but since I am not charging money to enter this contest I should be O.K. Here is how it will go... Whoever posts the funniest caption for this photo (in this thread) will receive a new pair of white silicone hand guards..* The contest will be judged by the Staff and Attaches**, and entries will only be accepted until midnight on May the 4th. CONTEST IS CLOSED. Voting will be done by the Attaches and Staff, and the winner will be announced on Sunday, May 7th. Just a note to say THANKS for the incredible responses! The creativity on here never ceases to amaze me, and I got some GREAT laughs from this, as I'm sure many of you did as well! * Offer includes free shipping to the U.S. only. If you live outside the U.S., shipping costs ($14.50) will be necessary. (Sorry). ** You can't vote for your own entry, though..
  9. Great to finally see your Centurion submission, Shane! Hopefully you used E-6000 to attach that shoulder strap, which will make it much easier to fix, and fantastic job on that ABS belt placement! I'm not sure what sort of strapping system you are using on the thighs, but the left one seems to ride a bit low. The right shin/thigh alignment is absolutely perfect, but the left shin looks as if it wants to turn toward the middle. This is easily remedied by attaching a piece of 1x1x 12 inch foam to the inside of the front. (I had the same issue). All easy fixes, my friend, and I look forward to seeing you at Centurion level soon! Side note: Still waiting on that Attache bio, and nice hand guards!
  10. Mark is absolutely spot-on, Kevin. Great job! The only thing I could suggest is to remove sand down the edges in the front of the right ear, (it looks a tiny bit ragged in contrast to the left one). Probably not necessary, but I am kinda OCD, LOL. The ears are the thing that give most people problems, but you have nailed it! I would also take his advice about the eye openings and frown holes. The easiest way to do this is with a set of needle files, which are available at Lowe's or the like, and less than $4.00 a set. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Project-Source-6-Piece-Needle-File-Set/4777067 To smooth out the edges, I would also invest in a pack of 3-M silicone sandpaper: https://www.lowes.com/pd/3M-4-Pack-4-5-in-W-x-7-in-L-320-Grit-Premium-Film-Sandpaper/50191421 The cool thing about this stuff is that you can use it on your entire armor build! It is flexible, will not tear, and seems to last forever. (I used only 1 sheet on my last build). To smooth out the edges of my eyes and teeth openings, I just wrapped it around the files. Keep up the great work!
  11. That looks MUCH better, Omar! Don't forget the screw, though..
  12. Great job on that build, Omar! Just a few things I noticed may help it to look even better: 1. The scope rail seems to be sitting a bit high. This may be due to the fact that (in the photos) it is not connected to the rear sight correctly as seen in the photo below from the FISD blaster reference thread; 2. You are missing the charging handle. 3. You didn't show a photo of the D-ring, but judging from the tiny bit shown in the third photo it looks as if you used the one that came in the DD kit. This will probably need to be replaced. Overall a terrific build, and fantastic job on removing the Power cylinders!!
  13. The thing with silicone is that nothing will adhere to it....except silicone. I embed the backs of my hand guards with white heavy-duty cotton "duck" cloth during the casting process so that it permanently bonds to them. This way, E-6000 can be used to attach them to either rubber or Nomex with no problems. If gluing them to rubber gloves, the top surface of the gloves should be thoroughly cleaned/degreased and scuffed up a bit with some sandpaper, This will help with adhesion. When gluing to Nomex gloves, be SURE to put a piece of wax paper inside first. Otherwise it may seep through and you will glue them shut.
  14. Ian is spot-on there, Nathan. A lot of it depends on which type of E-11 you have/are building, (Hyperfirm, Doopydoos, scratch-built, Hasbro mod.) etc. If you post up a list of questions, there are a LOT of people here that will be more than happy to help!
  15. Ouch... You may need a new back plate. Not sure who your armorer is, but you can usually pick one up for around $30.00. I just ordered a replacement from ATA, who are really good about doing those.
  16. I used a Aker 12 watt with an Icomm for a while, but then switched to an Aker 10 watt. Half the size and it works great.
  17. I made the mistake of buying that system years ago when I first started out. Tossed it in the trash after my first troop.
  18. I personally would not do this, Christian, as it would affect your range of motion. Is there a specific reason you want to do this? If there is a problem with alignment you should post up a photo and we can help solve the problem.
  19. Have you tried this area? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/91-flamethrower-plasma-rifle/ It is locatede in the Weapons Locker area toward the bottom of the main page.
  20. Just noticed one other thing, Cameron.. The bottom screw(s) on your ears are Philips-head. They should be the flat-head like the ones above them. If you need to replace them, I can shoot you a set of the correct ones, no charge. If interested, just PM me.
  21. Way to go, Frank!! Congrats on your EIB, and with a few changes I look forward to seeing your Centurion submission!
