Thanks for the kudos Eric, yea it was fun to do, though I'm not really good with paint it still reminded me of when I was a kid, sitting in my room building and painting models.

Personally speaking, given what you already accomplished I think painting will be a walk in the park for you.

Eric, I purchased mine back in September and received it mid December also. I purposely and specifically hired dirtyboy to build me a pack that I could use between my TD and HWT with minimal cosmetic change. Like others here, I also DID my homework prior to the unannounced change. Not only that my ATA re-build thread states that specific parts of my armor were designed so I could switch between TK and HWT. With these changes it made my bid Centurion a bit more challenging but worth the effort. With this announcement I'm now dead in the water regarding the HWT unless I buy another $350 pack. A bit frustrating to say the least.

This post is amazing. Brian your craftsmanship is incredible. I love to build and rebuild just about everything myself however, the detail you've put into this build is nothing short of reverse engineering quality. Besides the cast pieces, there's no C&C, no 3D print, just by hand. I'm in awe. Great job! Carry on Trooper!

Nice Job! Final touches for me it was either the Dremel or B&D mouse sander

"Saw you had some frustration it looks like with the glue on the gloves", I concur. Actually spoke with Mike at TB regard the issue with the hand plate attachment. His suggestion was super glue. This is how I set mine up and they came out perfect. First stuff gloves with socks to simulate my hand. Mark the gloves with a sharpie to indicate the location of the guard. Take about 1 foot of masking (or similar) tape and attached it to the guard. Apply the super glue. Quickly place the guard on the glove wrapping the tape around. Continued to wrap the glove till all guard edges were covered then let set for a day. Not only did they come out glued perfectly they were also contoured.

Hey Ty, looks great brother. Good luck. Suggestions: Close up the gap at the left Kidney/Ab (split rivet) top section, paint the screws on your TD black and I'm not sure but the sniper knee may need to be trimmed a bit, but don't quote me on that. Nice build

Hey Adam the diode is not necessarily needed I only put it there because at first because I was afraid of voltages back feeding. I pretty certain at this point in my testing it's not needed. The voltage regulator is pretty robust.
