Late as usual to another thread, on my TD backpack I basically took a old 2" PC speaker spliced in a 3.5mm cable with a male jack. Picked up a $20 audio amp at Radio Shack, plugged in the speaker cable out, installed a 36" 3.5mm patch cable into the inlet side of the amp, the other end into a $10 mp3 player i connect to my canvas belt. On my TD the radio face has holes simulating authentic radio speaker cover and finished drilling through the cover and glued the speaker in place just behind that area. Our HWT packs are quite a bit different especially they're not a s detailed (IMO). Has anyone tryed something similar with the HWT packs and have any pics?

I've never heard of the 55mm rule. I wouldn't hedge a bet on that . Everyone is different Again the amount of rungs on a chest plate is a guesstimate. Smaller troopers and larger armor will require less gap between the chest and back allowing for more cover material to be evenly distributed. Larger troopers and and smaller armor are just the opposite. I personally have 2-1/2" rungs on the chest with all my armor. The key is to evenly space the armor between the two however, if you have an excess than it is better to have it on the back then the front.

Hey Dan great looking ATA sir. In addition to the chest plate and bicep positions (already mentioned) you'll need to reduce your left side gap to 1/2" or less also. Everything else is good for EIB. As for the Centurion adjustments we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Hey Michael, very nice AM sir. Great job! With the exception of the TD clips you addressed you're spot on for EIB. EDIT: Missed something, the center ab button plate needs to have a return edge (flashing) on it. I don't see on one yours. As for Centurion, there may be some things to address once we see more detailed pictures however, until then I suggest holding tight on making any other adjustments.

That's means you didn't glue the large flat piece on correct?

You can also buy a hand held electric sander a slowly sand the edges. Then you can use it to round the edges. Just a thought

11b. Belt cont... & final So, continuing on... ATA belt After removing the return edge I was left with the final trimming. At each end remove outer edge until I had 48mm (1-4/3") remaining from edge to the last box. Trim the corners 45 degrees and find the center of the belt at all three mounting locations. 11d. Drill holes using 1/8" drill bit. 11e. Center on cloth belt using previous ammo pack measurements and rivet belts together. Note: Though not needed I use aluminum washers with the rivets to strengthen the attachment area. 11f. Trim river covers. 11g. Install rivet caps using E600 and large clamps. Finished.
