  1. Yea um good luck with that TFA Time! I so want to see you build one.
  2. whatever! lol... YEAH! Alright Russell I finally get to welcome you to the ranks, big salute! :happy and cheerful birthday:
  3. Congratulations Chris, welcome to EIB sir
  4. WOO HOO!!!! Yea Josh, welcome to the EIB trooper
  5. I wired in a female 3.5 connector as you did, but for the mic and tested two different mic types in hopes it would help. Neither helped, always came back with a weak output. I believe the built-in amplifier just isn't robust enough for higher amplification. Heck I went so far as to add a amplifier after the PCB, still no luck, hence the reason I've been watching this thread to let someone else beat their head against the wall for a while Maybe you'll have better luck.
  6. How big of a difference is there in output volume if you put the mic next to your lips instead of 1"+ away as you say you're using it now?
  7. Awesome great Job Sarah and welcome back BTW
  8. That's exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you In the video how close is the mic to your mouth?
  9. Thanks Clint do you have any pics of these being assembled?
  10. Thanks for the vote of confidence Tim. Stay tuned
  11. Wrong thread haha, I'm losing it I swear...lol
  12. Just keep trimming! just keep trimming! Sing with me lol
  13. Thanks for the updates. Does anyone have any detailed build pics of the belt and boxes?
  14. Well I'm sure there several ways you can tackle this. 1) You can either remove the decal and try adding some spray glue found at hobby shops and reinstall 2) Try adding a dab of Elmer's or E6000 glue to the tip of a Exacto knife blade, slide it underneath the troubled areas, press on the area firmly to remove excess glue, then finally apply some painters tape to hold the area down while it cures. 3) Worst case scenario replace the decals
  15. Nice work Russell
  16. Pretty awesome josh. Can we get a pic of the assembly outside your bucket? Thanks
  17. Hey Chris great build sir. As for suggestion: Though it won't effect EIB or Centurion (if that's what your shooting for) I would suggest re-securing the helmet decal edges that are peeling up for a cleaner look. See you at EIB,
  18. Very nice build David. EIB should be a shoe in. As for suggestions, as Steve mentioned though they won't effect EIB I echo his comments. The thighs especially, they could stand to come up at least 1". These are just suggestions. Good luck sir
  19. Very nice Johan, good luck sir. As for EIB suggestions: 1) The TD will need to have the correct control panel. Yours CRL 2) The thigh ammo belt needs to be lowered. It' needs to be mounted at the lower edge on the thigh, at the upper corner edge of the ammo belt. Yours CRL Though it shouldn't effect EIB straightening out your pauldron a bit would make your armor overall appearance look a bit cleaner. It seems a bit folded, they should lay more flat. Here's the CRL for some reference pics - http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_incinerator See you at EIB.
  20. Soldering iron is also a good idea, again as long as the hole you're creating is exactly the same size or smaller than the rivet. I think he's waiting for Gaz to get back from vaca.
  21. Using a drill to punch a hole through fabric is not the best tool for the job to begin with. A leather punch is much cleaner. This is a excellent kit to have if you're interested. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YQKB72?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
